TRAINING COURSESRCM2 Executive OverviewMaintenance management is often perceivedas a cost center activity rather than one thatleads to financial improvements. Leadingorganizations recognize that moving to anoverall asset management approach usingRCM2 principles can help drive optimalequipment performance which translatesdirectly into bottom line businessimprovements. This overview introduces executives to theintricacies of modern asset management so thatthey are best prepared to actively sponsor an assetperformance improvement initiative. Roles andresponsibilities within a reliability improvementinitiative are examined and the keys to success arediscussed along with the review of actual casestudies.RCM2, the standard in Reliability-CenteredMaintenance, and its derivatives are introduced.Discussions revolve around how these provide theframework necessary to develop a sensible anddefensible asset management program. Physicalasset management through RCM2 also forms theframework for a successful culture change formanagement, maintenance, operations andengineering. Correctly applied, RCM2 achievesgreater safety and environmental integrity, improvedoperating performance and profi tability, highermaintenance cost-effectiveness, and longer usefullife of physical assets.By Participating You Will Be introduced to the fundamental principles ofReliability-Centered Maintenance. INTRODUCING THE NEXTGENERATIONRCM3TMExtending Asset Managementbeyond Reliabilty

INTRODUCING RCM3 RCM3 Extending assetmanagementbeyond reliabilityRCM3Training 3-Day Introductory Course 10-Day Facilitator Course On-site Mentoring Aladon FacilitatorCertification Aladon PractitionerCertificationWith the publication of ISO 55000, Asset Management Standard in early 2014, it quickly becameclear that a new approach for asset management is required if companies want to staycompetitive. To optimize available resources and increase bottom line, while at the same timemaintain acceptable levels of safety and environmental integrity, it becomes increasinglyimportant to manage the risks associated with operating assets. The petroleum andpetrochemical industry has adopted a risk based approach for managing asset integrity in theearly 1990s through Risk Based Inspection (RBI). Today, it is an industry norm. RCM3 willbecome the new standard and foundation for analysing all assets (rotating and static).Features of RCM3RCM2 is the industry’s most adopted RCM methodology, being used on morethan 2000 sites worldwide. RCM3 is exte n d i n g t h i s v e r y r o b u s tm e t h o d o l o g y t o m o v e r eliability mainstream with emerging standards and newtechnologies. It is the most efficient failure management program for complexassets and processes. Management of such programs becomes increasinglyimportant to achieve the required safety and reliability capabilities of assets asdefined in the organisation’s risk and asset management systems.RCM3 Highlights:RCM3 builds on the core principles of RCM2 (and SAE JA1011) and improves theway in which risk and reliability is directly impacted by the Operating Context.Management of protected functions/systems is dealt with as a first priority instead ofrelying on the availability of protection/protective devices, making the outcomes ofRCM3 even more defensible than any previous versions of RCM.RCM3 also incorporates the principles of qualitative and quantitative risk managementas defined in the most commonly internationally recognised Risk ManagementStandards like ISO 31000, IEC 31010, and the ISO Guide 73:2009-Risk ManagementVocabulary.AladonPO Box 656Wrightsville Beach,NC 28480 USA 1 (910) he new risk based RCM3 and architectural structure of the methodology allows forseamless integration with other processes like RCD and functional FMECA,HAZOP, and RBI. RCM3 addresses the requirements for asset reliability andperformance directly as defined in the ISO 55000 Asset Management Standard. In addition to managing consequences, RCM3 has a strong focus on managingbusiness risk while optimizing resources. In this regard, RCM3 surpassestraditional RCM and the SAE JA1011 and SAE JA1012 standards.RCM3 is supported by a comprehensive software tool which includes the RCM2capability to allow current Aladon clients to import existing RCM2 analyses andmigrate to RCM3 when it is convenient for them to do so. The RCM3 software isalso fully user definable and could accommodate customer risk matrix and criteriafor qualitative and quantitative risk based decisions. For more information please visit our
