The British India Company had controlled all tea tradingbetween India and British colonies It was going to force the colonist to buy their tea with hightax As a result of tea tax, the colonies refused to buy the BritishTea Colonist boycotted

The Boston Tea Party was a direct response from colonist whoopposed tea which taxed by someone other than their ownrepresentives.

TOWNSHEND ACTS REPEALED Tea tax is kept for tworeasons.1- The tax provides a lot ofmoney for BritishGovernment.2- Symbolic of Parliamentretaining their right to taxthe colonies.

WHO ORGANIZED THE BOSTON TEAPARTY? The Boston Tea Party wasorganized and carriedout by a group ofPatriots led by SamuelAdams known as theSons of Liberty. The Sons of Liberty weremade up of males fromall walks of colonialsociety.
