Sons and daughters of God, on behalf of my colleague officers-Pastor Derick Adu Asare(Secretary) and Dr. Joseph Osei Agyena (Treasurer), I welcome you joyfully to NorthAmerica Ghanaian Seventh-day Adventists (NAGSDA) camp meeting 2021 for Adults,Youth and Children. Unfortunately, we missed this highly cherished convocation lastyear and had to compensate with a revival. Therefore, this year it is a wonderful privilege for us to come together in the virtual space provided by our Almighty Father.Even though you cannot see your friends and loved ones physically, just seeing themvirtually, I believe, can be heartwarming. Moreover, the heavenly host will be with us infulfillment of the promise in Matthew 18:20: “For where two or three are gathered inMy name, I am there in the midst of them. “This is the first NAGSDA Virtual campmeeting, and I believe we will experience many exciting moments as we study, sing,pray and worship our Maker and our King of Kings.What is more exciting is that during the last executive committee meeting of NAGSDA,we welcomed and admitted into the NAGSDA family our brothers and sisters of (PacificGhanaian Adventist Fellowship (PaGAF) as full members of NAGSDA.The presenters for this camp meeting are your seasoned pastors and laity who provideministry in our churches across North America. We deem it a blessing to have ElderTed. Wilson, President of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists as our Sabbath Guest Speaker for the divine service.Ellen G White wrote in (2T 601:3): “The object of a camp meeting is to lead all to separate from business cares and burdens and devote a few days exclusively to seeking theLord.” She continues, "we should occupy the time in self-examination, close searchingof heart, penitential confession of sins, and renewing our vows to the Most High God."In addition, I invite you to consider attendance at this camp meeting as your responseto the call from our Lord Jesus Christ “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).Since March of 2020, the world has witnessed many calamities in the air, land, and sea.Covid 19 has robbed many families of precious loved ones, and the fight against it continues. GUEST SPEAKERElder Ted WilsonPresident, General Conferenceof Seventh-day Adventist ChurchElder Ted WilsonTed N. C. Wilson began his church career as a pastor in 1974 in the GreaterNew York Conference. He married Nancy Louise Vollmer Wilson, a physicaltherapist, in 1975. The couple have three daughters: Emile Louise, married toPastor Kameron DeVasher; Elizabeth Esther, married to Pastor David Wright;and Catherine Anne, married to Dr. Robert Renck. The Wilsons have elevengrandchildren. Born in Takoma Park, Maryland on May 10, 1950, the son of former Adventist world church President Neal C. Wilson and Elinor E. Wilson, Wilson spent part of his childhood in Egypt.Wilson served as an assistant director and then director of Metropolitan Ministries in New York from 1976 to 1981. He also served the General Conference ofSeventh-day Adventist then Africa-Indian Ocean Division, based in Abidjan,Cote d'Ivoire, until 1990, as a departmental director and later as executive secretary.Following his post in West Africa, he served for two years at the General Conference World Headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, in SilverSpring, Maryland, United States, as an associate secretary. He went on to accept the position of president of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist Euro Asia-Division in Moscow, Russia, which he held from 1992 to 1996.Ellen White’sCampmeeting blueprintHere is a work for families to engage in beforecoming up to our holyconvocations. In addition to English, hespeaks French and some Russian.
