PRAYER PRODUCES MIRACLES!Prayer is the birthplace of miracles! God displays His wonders to those who pursueHim on bended knees. We invite you to take a 40-day journey designed to helpyou experience the miracles that prayer births. Jesus encouraged us to pray formiracles when He said, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believethat you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24). This is a pretty strongchallenge. Let’s take Jesus up on His offer! We must no longer stand idly by whilean evil tyrant steals our finances, snatches our health, destroys our marriages, andmakes off with our career goals and other promises God intended for His children.It’s time to seize your miracle through the power of prayer!This journey will function like a war college—a place where you’ll be trained in theart of spiritual warfare. You’ll be taught:n How to apply God’s promises for miraclesn How to mix faith with your prayersn How to pray through until your miracle is seizedn How to cultivate a lifestyle of prayer and fastingn How to win your battles though prayerWHY TAKE A 40-DAY SPIRITUAL JOURNEYOF PRAYER?Prayer is a potent spiritual force given by God to take you from one place of victoryto the next. Along this journey, you may encounter formidable spiritual oppositiondesigned to extinguish and neutralize the impact of your prayers. However, we are2
guaranteed conquest over the forces of darkness if we know how to strategicallyand persistently engage them through the agency of prevailing prayer.Jesus’ ministry was replete with miracles as a direct result of His devotion to thepractice of prayer. We too can expect the same miraculous answers to our prayersfor provision, healing, deliverance and salvation (Acts 4:23-31).WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROMPARTICIPATING IN THIS PRAYER JOURNEY?1. Expect to gain a deeper understanding of how to invoke the power of Godthrough prayer. May the evidence of a strong prayer life be seen by “signs accompanying those who believe” (Mark 16:17-18).2. Expect greater boldness and confidence in pursuing the will of God.3. Expect to grow in your relationship with the Lord evidenced through godlycharacter, passionate devotion, and a hunger to share your faith with theirreligious in your sphere.4. Expect God to meet the most critical needs in your family, workplace andschool by powerfully answering your prayers.5. Expect to engage your faith for miraculous breakthroughs in our church, city,nation and around the world.3
WHAT SHOULD I DO OVER THE 40 DAYS?Over the course of the 40-day prayer journey, you will engage in the following six(6) activities:1. PRAYERBeginning June 19, set aside a 30-minute block of time each day for the solepurpose of prayer.2. FASTINGFasting means to cease from eating for spiritual purposes. Choose two (2) dayseach week as fast days during which you will eat one meal on those days and usethe other mealtimes for prayer and meditation. Be sure to consult your doctor first.3. SCRIPTURE READINGFollow the Daily Scripture Reading Plan provided on the back cover of this guide.Daily Bible reading and meditation are vital spiritual practices for every believer.Use the 40 days to immerse yourself in scripture and study on prayer.4

HOW SHOULD I PRAY FOR MYSELF ANDOTHERS TAKING THE JOURNEY?1. Pray that Prayerfest (7/28/17) would have the greatest participation of the ChristChurch family and the most miracles we’ve ever encountered at one service.2. Pray for a greater anointing for prayer and intercession in your life and the life ofour church.3. Pray that our children and youth ministries will move to another level of effectiveness and reach.4. Pray that our impact in the community will be heightened through service andevangelism and all of our weekend services will transform the people who attend.5. Pray that a move of God would occur in America and in the countries of the worldso that the hearts of the people would turn towards God in a greater way.HOW SHOULD I PRAY FOR MY CHURCH ANDTHE WORLD AROUND ME?The prayer wheel offered on the following page will help you create a 30-minute dailytime of prayer. It will help you establish a prayer shield around others as you intercedefor the passions, people, possessions, purpose, and problems that the people in yourlife may be facing. This five-step process helps to clarify your focus of spendinga minimum of 30 minutes each day in prayer. Pursuing God in prayer will birth themiracles that have evaded you for far too long.6

[6 min.]PURPOSEPray that eachperson discoverstheir purpose andthe assignmentGod has fortheir lives.[6 min.]POSSESSIONSPray for an increase in provisionand that possessions (or the lackthereof) will not deter you frompraying and expecting miraclesfrom God. HOW CAN I STAY COMMITTED FOR THEENTIRE 40-DAY POWER OF PRAYER JOURNEY?1. Establish blocks of time in your calendar for prayer, personal reflection andjournaling.2. Connect with a prayer partner at least once a week.3. Commit to reading the daily scriptures and assigned reading.4. Expect to see a difference in your prayer life and for miracles to occur.Make a choice to stand on the promises of God.5.
