2 Lan Dr.Westford, MA, 01886Phone: 1 855 451 0451hr@logandata.comwww.logandata.comInformatica Power Center When Informatica version 9.6 was released, PowerCenter was itself at the center of a push fromInformatica to get the business analysts working more closely with their IT counterparts. This meantmaking it possible to take the end-to-end data visibility and integration out of the hands of the ITpersonnel and let the data users be able to get the reports and data visualizations they required fortheir jobs. In version 10, Informatica has increased the performance of PowerCenter dramaticallyover the previous version and added features that support those business users. Operations generating data lineage through PowerCenter can be completed up to 50x faster; dataingestion from sources including Oracle Exadata, Oracle SuperCluster, SAP Hana and HP Verticahas been optimized, with imports streaming in up to 5x faster. New features in this version of PowerCenter include a real-time engine that provides an on-rampto data warehousing, as well as advanced data transformation utilities for parsing and translatingdata of all types and sizes. Additionally, to help ease that transition from IT support owning the dataand setting up the reports and visualizations to business analysts taking care of their own,Informatica v.10 comes with 100 analyst tool seats, enabling IT-to-business-user collaboration.Informatica Data Quality Informatica Data Quality continues its tradition of cleansing and qualifying data according tobusiness rules defined by business strategies and IT architectures. Improvements in Data Qualityinclude Informatica Vibe, which allows the rules to be created against one data set and then appliedvirtually anywhere – whether in the cloud or on-premises. Performance increases over previous versions are again a big win for Informatica v.10, whichboasts a 5x faster data cleansing operation on Oracle Exadata, Oracle SuperCluster, SAP Hanaand HP Vertica.

2 Lan Dr.Westford, MA, 01886Phone: 1 855 451 0451hr@logandata.comwww.logandata.comInformatica Data Integration Hub Informatica Data Integration Hub is a "Pub-Sub-Hub," which describes the ability to locate all ofyour data into a single place (that is, the hub) and be able to both publish and subscribe to datathat is presented. The efficiency of the Integration Hub allows for large scale operations, such asthe automated storage of petabyte-scale Hadoop data lakes, but some of the most nuanced usecases for the Data Integration Hub is its ability to modernize old data stores. As organizations mature, data sprawl begins to occur. Like a "Big Bang" of data, what was oncecentrally located on a mainframe or a centralized database slowly but assuredly makes it way tosmaller and less controlled devices. Everyone knows of "that one Microsoft Access" database thatjust won't go away, was programmed years ago by somebody now long gone, and has becomeboth mission critical and critically obsolete. By connecting into these old data stores, a company isable to leverage the data stored in those mission critical sources and present it in modern ways –connect it to related data, manage it like a modern cloud service, and present it to data workers inremote offices.

2 Lan Dr.Westford, MA, 01886Phone: 1 855 451 0451hr@logandata.comwww.logandata.comLet me summarize some of the interesting themes here. Anil Chakravarthy – CEO – Informatica Corp, in his words: “The best in data integrationand data quality solutions just got better.” As the leader in all things data for the past 20years, Informatica has raised the bar yet again. Today data drives businesses andInformatica is synonymous with all things data. With Informatica v10, architects canmodernize their IT environment by leveraging top performance and improved datagovernance for modern data warehouses, along with the flexibility of full Cloud supportvia a data hub, and increased end-to-end data integration agility.” What is the main reason to choose Informatica? The overwhelming response is; “Theproductivity of the environment. We get more done faster and more repeatedly.” In theversion 10 release, new features will accelerate the productivity of customer on their firstproject – and continue to drive productivity as they grow to additional projects. Here are a couple of quick examples: The Data Profiling tool now has been enhanced withreally nice data visualization capabilities to make it far easier and faster to understand ourdata and its relationships. Another addition is 100 free Analyst Tool seats to all editionsof PowerCenter. Informatica has been driving agile data integration development basedon the idea of a development team made up of a developer and a business analyst. Theaddition of free Analyst Tools makes it even easier to make agile DI development astandard practice to speed up interaction and collaboration between business and IT,speeding business value delivery. The last big theme here cover is automation: Informatica is building automation into ourtools to drive productivity so that organizations can scale up in data and the growth ofdata users and use cases.

2 Lan Dr.Westford, MA, 01886 Phone: 1 855 451 0451hr@logandata.comwww.logandata.comAs organizations scale up their operations, it becomes more and more important to beable to “manage data as an asset.” There has been an enormous amount of work done inthis release to make the user experience easier and more productive across all of theproducts. A great deal of this translates into improvements that directly relate to datagovernance. Another key enhancement is the new Business Rule Builder in Data Quality. This enables business people to create new business rules in simple language that the toolcan take and convert into an Informatica mapping. This is very powerful. With version 10, the story gets even stronger, for a lot of different reasons. Informatica10 is what we need to get started on our first data integration and data quality projects. It also provides a very natural evolution to multiple projects and to the creation of amodern data architecture. If we are looking to drive productivity in our dataenvironment, increase development agility, improve data governance, and build towardsour vision for the data architecture of the future, we really need to consider moving toInformatica 10 now.
