Level 2 Record & Review proctoring starts with live authentication by a proctor to verify your identity.After, your testing session will be recorded from start to finish. Upon exam completion, a proctor willreview the recording in its entirety to ensure that no rules have been violated. Faculty will have accessto the complete recording as well as any flags identified. Your instructor sets the level of your exam.Please contact your instructor with any questions about your exam level.Accessing Examity You can easily access Examity through your course in D2L. Faculty decide where the link is for theircourses. Look for “Examity Online Proctoring” like in the image below. If you are having trouble findingthe link, ask your instructor.After selecting the link, you will be brought to your Examity dashboard. Copyright 2016 Examity

From here, you can create or edit your profile, schedule, reschedule or cancel exams, and start yourexam.Getting StartedYou must complete first your profile in order to schedule your exam. Create your Examity profile byselecting “My Profile” from the dashboard.First, select your time zone. Then upload your picture identification card – student ID, driver’s license, ormilitary ID. Please note, for verification purposes, you will need to bring the same ID with you everytime you take a test. Next, select and answer three unique security questions.Finally, enter your keystroke biometric signature. Copyright 2016 Examity

Once your profile is complete, you are strongly encouraged to run a computer requirements check. Tocomplete a computer requirements check, click the link in the upper right hand corner of the “MyProfile” page. You should run the check on the same computer you will be using to take the exam.Scheduling Your ExamPlease note: scheduling and cancellations MUST be done at least 24 hours in advance of your exam.Failure to do so incurs extra charges and your instructor and academic department will be notified.When you are ready to schedule an exam, click “Schedule Exam” on the dashboard.Select your instructor, course and exam name from the drop down menus. Rescheduling or Cancelling Your ExamIf you need to reschedule or cancel your exam, click the “Reschedule/Cancel” tab on the top navigationbar or on your dashboard.Taking Your ExamOn your Examity dashboard, select “Start Exam” and click on “Connect to Proctor.” Copyright 2016 Examity

Proctor support will walk you through the authentication process. You will be asked to:1. Verify your identity. Make sure you have your photo ID with you. Acceptable photo IDs are: studentID, driver’s license, or military ID. You will be required to hold the ID in front of your webcam. Theproctor will need to see both your name and photo clearly.2. Review the exam rules.3. The proctor will ask you to complete a 360 room pan and desk sweep with your webcam. This is toensure your workspace is clear of any unauthorized materials. Please understand the proctor doesnot know the content of your exam so they may ask you to remove or cover up items.Next, answer security question(s) that you previously set up in your profile. Type your unique biometric signature as per your profile setup.Agree to the user agreement and exam rules.Once you have finished the authentication process, click on the “Begin Exam” link. Your proctor willenter the password for you. Once the password has been entered, you are ready to begin! Copyright 2016 Examity

After beginning your exam, the proctor will disconnect from you. Your entire exam session will berecorded and later reviewed by an auditor, in its entirety, to ensure that no rules have been violated.Faculty will have access to the complete recording as well as any flags identified. When you havecompleted your exam, you must submit the exam in D2L before disconnecting from the proctor.If you need technical assistance during your exam, please contact Examity directly. Use the Live Chatfeature on the Examity dashboard (see image below) or call them at 1-855-392-6489. Do not use thechat feature in the webinar tool. Since the proctor disconnected, there is no one in that chat room.You must use Live Chat on the Examity dashboard if you want chat support.Technical SupportLevel 2 Record & Review uses live authentication by a proctor which improves the validity of theauthentication process. Additionally, since you are connected with a proctor you can ask them anyinitial technical questions you may have before they disconnect.After the proctor disconnects, there is no one actively connected with you should you experience anytechnical issues. You can absolutely receive support but you must contact Examity at 1-855-EXAMITY(1-855-392-6489). Live Chat may also be an option. Click on the “Live Chat” link located at the top andbottom of your Examity portal pages.Contact your instructor with any questions about your exam and requirements for using onlineproctoring. You will also need to take your exam in aquiet location where you can take the exam alone that does not contain any unapprovedmaterials. The exam space could be a room in your/family/friend home, office, private studyroom, etc. You will be asked to show a 360 degree view of your workspace.Examity System Requirementso You must take the exam on a desktop computer or laptop (not a tablet). o You must make sure your web browser is up to date. Google Chrome is the preferredbrowser. Mozilla Firefox is good as well. Do not use Internet Explorer.o You must have a working built-in or external webcam and microphone.o Your Internet speed must be at least 3 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload. A wirelessconnection works but a wired connection is preferred. Students experience lesstechnical issues with a wired connection.We encourage test-takers to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of their exam. This will allowample time to connect with your proctor and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise.Also, the time it takes you to connect to proctor support and complete the authenticationprocess does NOT count towards your exam duration.MAKE SURE YOUR POP-UP BLOCKER IS DISABLED.
