Children like(from left to right) Shane, Isabella, Jillian, Bryce, and Cameron, need your help today. Did you know that platelets are a necessary blood product to helpthose in their treatment against cancer.A CRITICAL NEED FOR BLOODNationwide and locally, our community blood supplyis at dangerous lowsWith students in high schools and colleges continuing with hybrid and onlinelearning, along with the majority of employees working from home, bloodcenters across the nation and here in our community are unable to collect andmaintain the blood supply necessary for area hospitals to treat cancer patients, surgical and trauma patients, premature babies, and more. The increasingdemand for blood is already exceeding the number of blood donors. MillerKeystone Blood Center needs your help today to ensure our tomorrow. We encourageall community members, who are able to donate, to help maintain our local blood supply. The blood you donate at Miller-Keystone Blood Center stays local. You may not realize there’s a blood shortage until you, a family member or a friend is impacted andhas a dire need for blood. In fact, every three seconds someone needs blood. Our only source ofblood is from the kind generosity of volunteer blood donors – blood cannot be manufactured orreplicated. You can contribute to our community by ensuring a safe and constant stream of blood isavailable to those in need. Please schedule your blood donation now and consider hosting a blood drive, an Adopt-A-Dayevent or community blood drive, today.
