2010 ANNUAL REPORT“It takes a lot of hands to help our communitycollaborate on healthcare access.”FOUNDATIONMISSIONPeak Vista CommunityHealth CentersFoundation, a separate501(c)(3) nonprofitorganization, wasestablished in 2005 forcharitable purposes toensure the sustainabilityof the medical, dental andbehavioral health servicesprovided by Peak VistaCommunity HealthCenters and othernonprofit tax exemptorganizations that partnerwith Peak VistaCommunity HealthCenters in meeting thehealthcare needs ofour community.THE NEED FOR PEAK VISTA COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS FOUNDATIONIn 1971, a group of citizens met to discuss its concern about the lack of healthcare for low income and uninsured residents. The resolution was a clinic, which later became Peak Vista Community Health Centers. What once was staffed by volunteernurses and doctors has now grown into a comprehensive health organization which provides a healthcare home withpatient-focused care. As our community continues to experience an increased demand for primary healthcare services, theneed for strategic fundraising was identified and the Peak Vista Community Health Centers Foundation was established.Today the Foundation is a sound investment, assuring sustainability of quality care for our community’s working families.
