NH Department of Health and Human Services129 Pleasant Street - State Office Park SouthConcord, NH 03301PRESS RELEASECONTACTFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEApril 22, 2021State Joint Information Center603-223-6169jic@dos.nh.govNH DHHS COVID-19 Update – April 22, 2021Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has issued thefollowing update on the new coronavirus, COVID-19.On Thursday, April 22, 2021, DHHS announced 515 new positive test results for COVID-19, for a current PCRtest positivity rate of 2.3%. Today’s results include 246 people who tested positive by PCR test and 269 whotested positive by antigen test. There are now 3,233 current COVID-19 cases diagnosed in New Hampshire. Ofthe results reported today: 4/21: 515 new casesSeveral cases are still under investigation. Additional information from ongoing investigations will beincorporated into future COVID-19 updates. Of those with complete information, there are ninety-eightindividuals under the age of 18 and the rest are adults with 37% being female and 63% being male. The newcases reside in Coos (151), Rockingham (61), Hillsborough County other than Manchester and Nashua (54),Belknap (31), Strafford (27), Merrimack (26), Grafton (23), Cheshire (16), Carroll (15), and Sullivan (12)counties, and in the cities of Manchester (46) and Nashua (25). The county of residence is being determined fortwenty-eight new cases.Community-based transmission continues to occur in the State and has been identified in all counties. Of thosewith complete risk information, most of the cases are either associated with an outbreak setting or have hadclose contact with a person with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis.DHHS has also announced one additional death related to COVID-19. We offer our sympathies to the familyand friends. 1 female resident of Hillsborough County, 60 years of age and olderThere are currently 112 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19.
