To enroll in NissanConnect Services, create an account or log into your NissanOwner Portal with your Vehicle Identification Number or VIN. Under theNissanConnect Services tab, select the red button next to Manage Subscription.Follow the prompts to enroll in NissanConnect Services. Next, download theNissanConnect Services companion app and log into it using your Nissan OwnerPortal ID and password.For full details on NissanConnect Services or to enroll your vehicle, please visitwww.nissanusa.com/connect or call 855-426-6628.Here is a quick overview of some of the features that may be available for yourvehicle. A full description of these and other NissanConnect Services can be found inyour Navigation System Owner’s Manual. Automatic Collision Notification, a service thatgenerates an automatic connection betweenthe vehicle and the Emergency ResponseCenter when the vehicle has been involvedin an accident that was severe enough todeploy the air bags.1 Emergency Call (if so equipped), whichconnects you to a NissanConnect ServicesSpecialist who will assist in the dispatch of emergency services to the vehicle’slocation. To use this feature, press the SOS button 1 on the overhead console.The SOS button 1 should only be used in emergency situations. Roadside Assistance, which dispatchesroadside assistance to the vehicle’s locationin non-emergency situations. RoadsideAssistance can be accessed by touching theheadset icon 2 on the map screen, viamobile application or by calling the RoadsideAssistance provider directly.2 Stolen Vehicle Locator, a service that works incoordination with law enforcement agenciesto assist in the recovery of a stolen vehicle. Remote Door Lock/Unlock, for use when you forget to lock your vehicle or ifyou need to open it and do not have the keys. To use this feature, log into theNissanConnect Services companion app or website or contact a NissanConnectServices Response Specialist. Assisted Search, a feature that allows you to verbally request point-of-interestor destination data from a live operator by touching theheadset icon 2 onthe map screen. Boundary Alert, a feature that allows you tomonitor the movement of your vehicle inand out of specified regions you have set onthe Monitoring section of the NissanConnectServices web portal or companion app, and Speed Alert, which sends you alerts whenyour vehicle speed exceeds a threshold youhave set on the web portal orcompanion app.3To access these features in your vehicle: Press thepanel, then Touch the “NissanConnect Services” key 4 .button 3 on the control4Please see your Owner’s Manual for important safetyinformation, system limitations, and additional operating andfeature information.For more information, refer to the “Information (section 5)” of your Navigation System Owner’s Manual.HILL START ASSIST AND HILL DESCENT CONTROL(if so equipped)HILL START ASSISTHill Start Assist allows time for the driver to release the brake pedal and apply theaccelerator when the vehicle is parked on a hill. The brakes are applied automaticallyfor 2 seconds after the driver releases the brake pedal. Hill Start Assist will operate automatically under these conditions: he shift lever is shifted into a forward or a reverse gear. T The vehicle is stopped completely on a hill by applying the brake. Hill Start Assist will not operate when the shift lever is in the N (NEUTRAL) orP (PARK) position or when the vehicle is on a flat and level road.HILL DESCENT CONTROL (if so equipped)Hill Descent Control is designed to apply the brakes to help control the speed of the vehicle and reduce the workload of the driver while descending steep hills.To activate the system: T he Hill Descent Control switch 1must be on. The vehicle must be in 4HI or 4LO(4WD) mode.1 T he shift lever must be in a forward ora reverse gear. NEW SYSTEM FEATURESAROUND VIEW MONITOR (AVM) WITH MOVING OBJECTDETECTION (MOD) (if so equipped) With the ignition switch in the ON position,the Around View Monitor is activated bypressing the CAMERA button 1 , located onthe control panel, or by moving the shift leverto the R (REVERSE) position. The monitordisplays various views of the position ofthe vehicle.1 When the shift lever is in the P (PARK), N (NEUTRAL) or D (DRIVE) position andthe CAMERA button 1 is pressed, the following views will display in order:Start from anyControl Panel screenFront view &bird’s-eye viewPressFront view & front-side viewPressPress When the shift lever is in the R (REVERSE) position and the CAMERA button 1is pressed, the following views will display in order:Rear view & bird’s-eye viewRear view & front-side viewPressRear wide viewPressPress The colored guide lines on the display screen indicate vehicle width andapproximate distances to objects with reference to the vehicle body line. When the vehicle’s outside mirrors are extended for towing, you may see themirrors in the bird’s-eye view or the front-side view. For information regarding how to access additional viewing cycles, please seeyour Owner’s Manual. There are some areas where the system will not detect objects. When in the front or the rear view display, an objectbelow the bumper or on the ground may not be2detected 2 . When in the bird’s-eye view, a tall object nearthe seams of the camera detecting areas 3 will notappear in the monitor. The distance between objects viewed on the3Around View Monitor differs from theactual distance. Objects in the bird’s-eye view will appear further than theactual distance.MOVING OBJECT DETECTION (MOD) (if so equipped)LHA3807 The MOD system helps inform the driver of moving objects around the vehicle.2A The system will operate when the shift lever is in the D (DRIVE), N (NEUTRAL),R (REVERSE) or P (PARK) position and thevehicle is driven at speeds of approximately45 mph (8 km/h) or less. If the MOD system detects moving objects,a yellow frame will be displayed on thecamera image.When the following is displayed: Blue MOD icon 4 ; the system is active. Gray MOD icon; the system is not active. N o MOD icon; the system is off. NEW SYSTEM FEATURESBLIND SPOT WARNING (BSW) WITH REAR CROSS TRAFFICALERT (RCTA) (if so equipped) The BSW helps to alert the driver whenanother vehicle moves into the vehicle’sdetection zone.1 An indicator light located on the outsidemirrors 1 will illuminate if the radar sensorsdetect a vehicle in the detection zone. Push the Warning Systems switch 2 totemporarily turn the system off. When thesystem is off, the indicator light 3on the switch and the indicator light 4 inthe vehicle information display will extinguish. The indicator light 3 on the switch willalso be off if all of the warning systems aredeactivated using the Settings menu.5263 The indicator lights 3 and 4 will illuminate after theignition switch is ON and the BSW system is enabled. Thisindicates that the BSW system is operational.4 The RCTA system helps to alert the driver of an approachingvehicle when the driver is backing out of a parking space. The system operateswhen the shift lever is in the R (REVERSE) position and the vehicle speed is lessthan approximately 5 mph (8 km/h). Push the Parking Sensor (Sonar) System OFF switch 5 to temporarily turn theRCTA system off. When the system is off, the indicator light 6 on the switchwill extinguish. The radar sensors detect an approaching vehicle from up to 66 ft (20 m).The sensors are located on both sides of the vehicle near the rear and frontbumpers. TOWINGTRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLER UNIT (if so equipped) he Trailer Brake Controller Unit will assist with effective and smooth braking whileTtowing a trailer.Operating Modes: Automatic: Automatic operation of trailer brake pressure based on gain andboost settings. Manual: Manually applies trailer brake pressure without pressing the vehicle’sbrake pedal. In automatic mode, the gain controls theamount of trailer braking pressure. To setthe gain: Press theorbutton 1 to decrease orincrease the braking force supplied to thetrailer brakes. For example, a gain setting of6.0 is a typical starting point for heavy loads.123 In automatic mode, the boost can be set to change the feel of the trailer brakewhen the vehicle’s brake pedal is pressed. To set the boost: Press the Press thebutton 2 again to increase the boost level or continue to pressthebutton 2 to return boost to the off position.button 2 once to display the current boost setting. To manually apply brake pressure to the trailer without pushing the vehicle’sbrake pedal, pinch the manual control levers 3 together. The amount ofpinch pressure applied to the levers 3 will correlate to the amount of brakepressure applied.TRAILER LIGHT CHECKING (if so equipped)Your Nissan Intelligent Key can be used to checkthe trailer lights from outside the vehicle. If yourvehicle is equipped with a three-button key fob,this feature operates in the same manner.41. Aim the Intelligent Key at the vehicle.2. Press and release thebutton 4 .3. Within 2 seconds, press the button 4again and hold it until the horn beeps once and the parking lights turn on.The trailer light check will follow the following sequence: The left turn light on the vehicle and trailer will flash for 5 seconds. The right turn light on the vehicle and trailer will flash for 5 seconds.
