Weekly Summary of Long-term Care FacilitiesWith Residents or Staff Positive for COVID-19Report posted Friday, March 19, 2021As of March 19, 2021, there have been: Overall, 316 outbreaks with 9,218 total cases:o 233 facilities have resolved outbreaks.o 18 of the 233 resolved outbreaks included only 1 resident or staff member reportedwith COVID-19, and there was no further spread in the facility.777 COVID-19-related deaths associated with 176 facilities.Currently, 3,594 people reported with COVID-19 associated with 83 long-term care facilities.For purposes of these data, the following definitions apply:Long-term care facility means a nursing home, assisted living facility, or intermediate carefacility. There are just over 400 long-term care facilities in Idaho.Outbreak means at least one lab-confirmed COVID-19-positive case associated with a facility.Probable Case means the person 1) tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 infection using an antigentest, 2) they have a clinically compatible illness and epidemiologic risk for infection, or 3) theirdeath certificate lists COVID-19 or SARS-CoV-2 as an underlying cause of death or significantcondition contributing to death, without confirmation using a molecular amplification testResolved means that more than 28 days have passed (2 incubation periods) without anyadditional cases associated with the facility.The table on the following page provides a list of long-term care facilities with current or resolvedCOVID-19 cases. “Facilities with Ongoing Outbreaks” are listed in the order in which the outbreakswere reported to the Division of Public Health. “Facilities with Resolved Outbreaks” are listed in theorder in which the outbreaks were declared resolved. If an outbreak was previously resolved andthen reopened, the facility has been removed from “Facilities with Resolved Outbreaks” list andadded back to the “Facilities with Ongoing Outbreaks” list.
