Hepatitis C treatment by non-hepatologists is equallyeffective as treatment by hepatologists, but there is ashortage of non-specialist hepatitis C providers.The Emory University School of Medicine is accredited bythe Accreditation Council of Continuing Medical Educationto provide continuing medical education for physicians.The goal of this symposium is to broaden the workforceavailable to screen for and treat chronic hepatitis C (HCV)infection.5.0 nursing CEUs will be awarded by the Emory NursingProfessional Development Center (ENPDC), an accreditedprovider of continuing nursing education (CNE) by theAmerican Nurses Credentialing Centers Commissionon Accreditation.
