03. Number of Students to be AdmittedThere is no exact quota for the number of international students to be admitted. Candidates areselected upon review of their academic ability, through a special admission process for foreignstudents.04. Eligibility to ApplyEligible to apply when international applicants satisfy all of the following requirements1. Nationality : Female foreign nationals whose parents are both foreign nationality.※ Korean citizens (including dual citizenship of applicant and both parents) will not be consideredeligible for admission※ Korean who obtained foreign nationals(applicant and both parents) are eligible only if she and her parentsobtained their foreign nationals before entering her secondary school(Grade 10) (Only applicable toundergraduate applicants)2. Education : Applicants must meet the following academic amFreshmenTransferMaster’s,Combined Master’sand DoctorateDoctoratePrerequisitesApplicant must have acquired high school diploma before March 2018.Applicant must have completed at least 2 years in a university educationprogram before March 2018, and intend to transfer into the third year.Applicant must have completed a four-year-course university or universityequivalent courses and acquired Bachelor’s degree before March 2018.Applicant must have completed a post-graduate program and acquiredMaster’s degree before March 2018.※ Exception will be made if the country's interdisciplinary academic year and the first day of school are laterthan those of Korea's by one month or less.3. Language Proficiency Requirement : Applicant must meet one of the following languagerequirements.A. The certificate of level 3 or above in Test of Proficiency in Korean(TOPIK) for undergraduatefreshmen application, and level 4 for undergraduate transfer or graduate application.※ Test of Proficiency in Korean(TOPIK) is recognized only if the transcript is submitted by theapplication deadline. However, those who take the 54th TOPIK(October, 21 22, 2017) or the 55thTOPIK(November, 18 19, 2017) (should summit the test identification first when applying) can beconsidered to fulfill their language requirement, accepted conditionally. Those who are acceptedconditionally should submit the final transcript by December 22, 2017. If one fails to submit thefinal transcript or meet the above language requirements, the conditional acceptance will becancelled.B. Completing level 4 or above of Korean Language Intensive program in Ewha Language Center※ The completion of Korean Language Intensive program will be recognized only if the certificationis submitted by the application deadline. However, those who are still taking course level 4 during-8-

the application period (the certificate of attendance should be submitted first when applying) canbe considered to fulfill their language requirement conditionally. Those who are acceptedconditionally should submit the certificate of completion as soon as the program is completed. Ifone fails to submit the certificate of completion or complete the course, the acceptance will becancelled.C. The following minimum English proficiency test scores: TOEFL(PBT 550, iBT 80), IELTS 5.5, TEPS550※ English Proficiency Test Scores should be submitted before application deadline. Or your Englishproficiency will not be recognized.※ Undergraduate freshmen or Undergraduate transfer applicants who satisfy the qualification withEnglish proficiency can only be admitted to departments or majors whose degree programs areconducted in English. But an applicant who applies for academic programs other than that, can beadmitted only if the applicant obtains TOPIK level 3 within a year after admission and TOPIKlevel 4 before the graduation.D. High school diploma or bachelor’s degree from Korean or English speaking institutionsE. Recognition as possessing sufficient proficiency in Korean or English language by Ewha WomansUniversity※ Applicants admitted to undergraduate courses satisfying Korean language proficiencyrequirements of ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘D or ‘E’, must gain TOPIK level 4 prior to graduation. If not, the studentmay not be able to graduate.05. EvaluationApplicant will be accepted for admission through a comprehensive evaluation of her academic ability,achievements and development potential, based on submitted documents.※ A screening interview may be required of the applicant when necessary.
