Romans 8:16-25(verses 23-25)And not only this, but also we ourselves, havingthe first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselvesgroan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for ouradoption as sons, the redemption of our body. Forin hope we have been saved, but hope that is seenis not hope; for who hopes for what he alreadysees? But if we hope for what we do not see, withperseverance we wait eagerly for it.

Romans 5:1-5Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace withGod through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also wehave obtained our introduction by faith into this grace inwhich we stand; and we exult in hope of glory of God. Andnot only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowingthat tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hopedoes not disappoint, because the love of God has beenpoured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit whowas given to us. NASB

Matthew 16:15-17He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, theSon of the living God.”And Jesus said to him, “Blessed are you, SimonBarjona, because flesh and blood did not revealthis to you, but my Father who is in heaven.” NASBMary - Simeon

2 Corinthians 4:6For God, who said, “Light shall shine out ofdarkness,” is the One who has shone in our heartsto give the Light of the knowledge of the glory ofGod in the face of Christ. NASB

DTS does not subscribe to the Nouthetic viewpoint. In addition tocounseling courses, students are trained in Theology, Bible Exposition, andPastoral Ministries during the course of their studies at DTS. The M.A./BCProgram offers courses that are taught by professors who agree with the DTSdoctrinal statement (We also believe that all the Scriptures were designed for ourpractical instruction) and teach to the mission of the seminary. All courses includedevotion, prayer, and a significant degree of biblically relevant counselingexpertise, as all the professors on faculty also have worked, or currently work, asprivate counselors or on church staff as counselors.
