Trade with Canada and Mexicosupports 12 million American jobs and is vital to businesses ofevery size, sector, and region. This is why, in October, The Coalitionof East Tarrant Chambers traveled to Washington, D.C. and addedit’s voice to the U.S. Chamber advocating for Congress to pass theUnited States-Mexico-Canada Agreement. The Annual Awards ceremony was an event ofappreciation and celebration for members and groups that have stoodout from the crowd and made our Chamber successful. In the spring, theGolf Classic tournament was a fun event that allowed our members andsupportive sponsors to come together to casually compete for prizes andbragging rights on the course. EXPO was our highest rated businessmarketing event, bringing in over 100 businesses to feature theirproducts and services. As the year closed, (cont)

Members engaged in friendly bidding wars, live entertainment, and networking with other guests over a formal dinner.Networking for SuccessThere are 4 leads groups that members are able to attend each weekand 1 on a monthly basis. Three of the weekly groups are industryspecific and provide an opportunity for networking, promotion, andmember engagement. The monthly leads group is the Senior ServicesAlliance who are members that provide products and/or services forseniors.(cont) with other like-minded business owners during WILD, WomenIn Leadership Development. During the 6 meetings held throughout2019, with almost 350 in attendance, there were featured speakerswhose topics included motivation, encouragement, and how to be aproductive business women within different industries.Chamber Lunch MobsTen Chamber Lunch Mobs took place this year and were held on amonthly basis. The Chamber and HEB ISD partner together for this valuableprogram that allows business leaders and owners to visit juniorhigh classes and give a presentation that guides them on how tobe productive and purposeful in their future choices.Page 5 CHAMBER MEMBERSLeadership HEB: Leaders Making a DifferenceFor the Class of 2019, this leadership development program of the HEBChamber of Commerce provided opportunities of community involvement and awareness of the economic growth within our great cities.22 area business owners participated a 9 month program sponsored byAlecXander Medical Spa (Hurst) and Qualtex (Euless). Their communityproject for this year was ‘Leaders Are Readers’. They partnered with 6of our HEB Chamber non-profits as well as the artists of Central Artsand created Little Libraries out of refurbished newspaper boxes. Eachof these boxes were painted to reflect the mission and purpose of thenon-profit where it was homed.
