PURPOSE:To verify that the student can: identify meaningful nursing research report the results of research related to nursing, paraphrasing and givingcredit to authors/researchers. apply critical thinking and written communication skills in summarizingthe research and its application to current nursing practice2. SELECTION OF TOPIC:Start with a topic of interest and look under that heading in the Index for Nursing andAllied Health in the library. For purposes of this document essay, "recent" is withinthe past two years; "research article" is a report of a formal study with statisticalanalysis of the results (not opinions nor new applications of old knowledge).Suggested journals: American Journal of Nursing, Nursing Outlook, NursingResearch, RN, Nursing Scholarship3. ORIGINAL REPORT:The journal article will cite the original research report. Student must locate andread the original research report4. CONTENT:The paper must contain the following elements:a.
