Steering Committee Vision for the Plan Update:1.Create a unique sense of welcome & arrival2.Provide a safe and comfortable place for residents and visitors3.Retain the feel of an oceanside resort with a sense of community4.Preserve the feeling of Virginia Beach identity and history5.Provide a simultaneous sense of calm and renewed energy for residents and visitors6.Address sea level rise and coastal resilience7.Rehabilitate and preserve historic structures*The below slides show one component of public feedback (the surveys). The RASAP Steering Committee reviews allpublic input and feedback and will address in the final RASAP 2030 document.13

Central Management EntityThe City of Virginia Beach uses the Tourism Investment Program (TIP) fundto fund services and projects in the resort area. The Resort Area is both highdensity and highly-trafficked, and therefore additional services are needed tokeep it green, clean, safe and welcoming. The City is considering layering onadditional services to expand and improve resort amenities and services.15
