Course DescriptionIntroduces managers to human resources strategies used by international companies. Course Grading PoliciesThis class uses different assignments and teaching methods in the form of reading, research, and other eventsthat will have to be coordinated to meet the time neds/constraints of the individual student. As a highereducation class, how you manage your time is VERY important. Each assignment is designed to requireoutside class reading, viewing, studying, and writing time. Therefore, if something is dueon Tuesday, sending/posting it on Tuesday afternoon (12pm) means it is submitted late.There are assigned readings each week, reports, short video clips that will review and/or expand on certaintopics during the week. Additional readings or assignments may be given during class meeting. Students arerequired to have pre-read all weekly assigned readings by the start of each week in order to be adequatelyprepared to participate in lecture discussion and/or make cogent comments and to actively participate in thediscussions and complete assignments on time. Each week's readings, discussions, lectures, and assignmentsbuild upon what was previously reviewed in class. This is a post firstdiscussion, so you must complete your post prior to responding to your peers in WTClass. Students mustcomplete the 10 Discussion Forums Assigned to have the opportunity to receive full credit.Course-Themed Synthesis Podcasts:(50 Points Each for a Total of 250 Points)There will be 5 required synthesis podcasts for this course., but you will have the option to complete from atotal of 7 synthesis podcasts. The goal of this assignment is for you to take in all of the information for theweek and explain how all of the materials relate. Take it a step further if you will. More detail is available inWTClass to assist you in making sure that you fully understand what it means to “Synthesize” materials. This isnot a “tell me what you read assignment.” Also, all podcasts are limited to 5 minutes.3

Current Faculty Senate Statement: The WT Faculty Senate places the highest priority on the health and safetyof our university’s students, faculty, and staff. In cooperation and consultation with Academic Affairs andDean's Council, Faculty Senate strongly supports that everyone inthe WTAMU campus community abide bythe provisions, both present and future, set out by system and university administration to maintain healthand safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. Further, Faculty Senate calls upon WT faculty to set an example forothers by consistently and correctly wearing masks or face coverings while on campus, or at WT-sponsoredevents, as well as maintain at least six feet of physical distance.Dropping/Repeating the CourseShould a student decide to drop the course, it is the student’s responsibility to be aware of the final dropdates and adhere to the WTAMU Add/Drop policy. Any student participating in the course after the WTAMUposted drop date will be considered active and a grade will be administered at the end of the course for thatstudent.
