WHAT IS ISO 45001?This is a completely new standard – not just a refreshed 18001 as 18001 was not anISO standard previously. This is a migration from BS OHSAS18001 to ISO 45001 – not a transition. It will link directly in to the existing management standard framework of ISO 9001:2015 &14001:2015.Needs to be integrated in to existing business arrangements – not just added and considered outsidethe existing arrangements - see clauses 5.2/c, 6.1.4.This approach will provide a robust platform to develop existing arrangements and potentially reducethe burden of duplication. The system is designed to deliver benefit – not a registration certificate – it can save and changelives of workers and others.

COMMON PDCA MODEL

DIFFERENCES:GAP ANALYSIS

GAP ANALYSISNQA have developed a client GAP document which is mandatory for migration to 45001 – as required bythe IAF for existing 18001. This is available from NQA in preparation for your migration visit. Also as part of the assessment process we will need to interview the following for all existing 18001 and45001 clients: Management legally responsible for H&SPersonnel responsible for monitoring employee healthWorker representative (with OHS responsibilities)This is also a revised requirement of the IAF for both standards and therefore is not referenced within thestandards themselves.
