And of course, a truewhite is always available as well, not theunflattering mixed amber compromise foundin other lights. Smart programming in the Miro Cube 4C includes astand-alone color wash mode or allows multiple units to be easily slavedtogether, synchronized and offset using self-generated DMX for color chasesand other dynamic lighting patterns without a console. Use it alone, configured in strips & arrays or built-in for virtually any application needingcolored light - from stage, studios and location, bars and casinos, to stores, windows and lobbies.NOTE: The luminaire should be positioned so that prolonged staringinto the luminaire at a distance closer than 3.3m is not expected.10

Using 12 high quality CreeXML 4W emitters, the Miro WNC outputs 3400lumens and can adjust from 2700K to 6500K. Amix of warm, neutral and cool LEDs insureexcellent rendering across all color temperatures making it perfect for use on TV or filmsets, in retail lighting, museums, architecture, photography studios or anywhite light application.NOTE: The luminaire should be positioned so that prolonged staringinto the luminaire at a distance closer than 0.31m is not expected.11

MIRO CUBE UVIdeally suited for theme parks, night clubs, casinos, museums and stage applications,Miro Cube UV is the smallest, mostaffordable high powered UV light available tolighting professionals. Drawing just 50 watts, itoutperforms conventional long throw fixturesusing 5 times the power, weighing 10 timesmore, and which need an expensive lampchange every 1000 hours! The fixture allowsfor full speed 8 and 16 bit DMX dimming and standalone control (without aDMX source) via a rear mounted full text LCD display.WARNING: Do not look directly into the UV light during operation. Eyeand skin exposure to UV light can cause severe damage to humans andanimals. Take every precaution to limit exposure to UV light (includingthe use of UV-blocking eye protection).12

DMX ModeIn DMX mode, the unit is controlled by the data it receives on the 5-pinXLR or RJ45 (ARC) connectors located on the rear panel. The number ofDMX channels required to control the fixture is dependent on thefactory setting in use (for example - Four Color Miro Cubes use fourDMX channels while One Color Miro Cubes use one).NOTE: A three pin to five pin DMX adapter may be used withthe fixture5-pin XLR ConnectorsRJ45 Connectors13

The difference is mostnoticeable during a theatrical black out. The Miro Cube can emulatean incandescent lamp by selecting one of the Tungsten Fade settings. To change the Tungsten Fade setting, press MENU until “CHANGEFILAMNT FADE?” appears on the screen, and press OK. Select from“OFF”, “1 (MIN)”, “2 (MID)” or ”3 (MAX)” using theorkeys, and press OK. A setting of “3 (MAX)” provides the greatestdelay. Color Wash ModeWash TimerThe wash timer determines how long it takes for the Miro Cube tocomplete an entire color cycle, and, by extension, the rate at which thecolors change. Choose a short time for a rapid wash or a longer time fora slower wash. To change the Wash Timer, press MENU and select“CHANGE WASH TIMER?” by pressing OK. Use theorkeys toselect a Wash Time between 15 seconds and 60 minutes (in 15 secondintervals).Wash Offset:When set to Color Wash Mode, the Miro Cube is operating as a DMXmaster and is sending DMX512 data, allowing it to control unique colorwashes on up to fourteen additional fixtures in a chain (set to DMXmode).NOTE: Slave fixtures should be set to DMX Mode and assigned tochannels five, nine, thirteen, etc (in four channel increments).24

Use the WASH OFFSET function to control the interaction betweenmultiple Miro Cubes in a Color Wash chain. The Wash Offsetdetermines the length of delay between each light, or how long it takesto “pass” a color from one light to the next. Set the Wash Offset to “0”and the lights will color wash in unison, displaying the same color atthe same time. Create a multi-fixture Chasing Rainbow effect, wherecolors pass from light to light, by increasing the Wash Offset. The largerthe offset time, the longer it takes for a color to pass to the next light. To change the Wash Offset, press MENU and select “CHANGE WASHOFFSET?“ by pressing OK. Use theorkeys to select the timedelay (up to 511 seconds) between lights.25

Serial ModeIn Serial mode, the unit is controlled by the serial data it receives on the XLRconnector located on the rear panel or via CubeConnect . If your unit does nothave Serial Mode you will need to enable it by entering FACTORY SETUP usingthe MENU button. For the password enter “3270”. Using the MENU button totoggle through the options select SET CONFIG OPTIONS and click OK. Next usethe MENU button to toggle through the options select SERIAL MODE ON andclick OK. Select the desired Serial address using theorkeys, and press OK.26

Beam AnglesThe beam angle can be easily adjusted using a holographic diffusingfilm. Using a Miro Cube without a diffusing film will create a narrowbeam angle.WARNING: DISCONNECT THE POWER CABLE BEFORE REMOVINGTHUMBSCREWS.none20 40 60 27

Beam AnglesTo change the diffusing film, unscrew the thumbscrews from thefront panel and remove the acrylic panel. Replace the existing filmwith the diffuser of your choice. Place the acrylic panel on top andsecure it with four thumbscrews.NOTE: Custom beam angles available upon request.28

MountingWARNING: DISCONNECT THE POWER CABLE BEFORE MAKINGANY CONFIGURATION ADJUSTMENTS.Linear Arrays:The Miro Cube can be used as a single fixture or in multi-fixturearrays.NOTE: ADDITIONAL YOKES AND THREADED ROD ARE REQUIRED.To connect multiple fixtures, remove the threaded rod byunscrewing one of the side knobsand using the other to pull therod out. Slide off theyoke and washersand put them to theside.29

Place the fixtures next to each other. Attach a knob to one side of thedouble length threaded rod. Slide the double bracket around thefixtures. Align the holes and position spacers on both sides of eachfixture (do not use multiple spacers between fixtures).Insert the rod on the left side.Slide the rod through thebracket and both fixtures andsecure it with a knob on theright side.A maximum of three MIROCUBES can be arrayedlinearly using providedhanging brackets.30

Safety CablesSingle Miro Cubes as well as arrays can be suspended from trussor other major support structures using 3rd party clamping devices. When used in suspended applications, a safety cable (provided byothers) must be used as a positive retaining means between themain support structure and each Miro Cube using the “safetycable hole.”NOTE: The cable canbe threaded through,or clip can be snappeddirectly onto thesafety cable hole.OKUMENOKUMEN31
