PRISMA ARCHITECTURALThe STEEL series is designed for the diverseneeds of in-ground luminaires.The precision-cast stainless steel screens arethe element common to all the configurationswhich characterise and make the individualproduct applications unique.A bright, elegant and stylish element indifferent shapes and sizes that enhances spaces,marks paths, illuminates architecture and exaltsits details, creating the right light in everycontext.STEEL luminaires are available in round andsquare shapes, from mini to maxi size with arange of power levels and optics that enhancethe potential and flexibility of the product.Thanks to the availability of COMPACT reduceddepth recessed fixing kit, the STEEL series can beused with maximum freedom, even in situationswhere it is not possible to create the classicdrainage hole. The special conformation of theCOMPACT recessed fixing kit allows connectionto a corrugated pipe for water drainage.A wide range of LED sources is available in allconfigurations. There are LEDs with warm andcool colour temperatures, with lenses to controlthe light beam and the whole LED plate or theindividual bar in the SQUARE versions can bedirected as required.STEEL MOVI completes the range: the productretracts into the ground, only appearing whenlight is needed.159

STEELALSSTEEL ROUND luminaires aresuitable for lighting gardens,architecture and pedestrianpathways. They are available withasymmetric, circular and wallwasher optics and ground levelemission with three options.STEEL ROUND uses fluorescent,discharge and LED light sources.The COMPACT versions, identicalto the others as far as theappearance is concerned, areequipped with recessed fixing kitonly 170 mm deep.STEEL MINI luminaires aresuitable for lighting gardens,perimeter walls and pedestrianpathways.The MINI ROUND, MINIQUADRO and MINI DUPLEXoffer LEDs with an emissionangle of 6 , 45 and 120 .The MINI VISA versions haveground level emissions either inone or in two directions.The recessed fixing kit is137 mm deep for all versions.STEEL MINISTEEL MOVI is a motorised,walk-over resistant in-groundluminaire, which only appearswhen its light goes on.When off, the luminairedisappears, allowing maximumfreedom of use of spaces.STEEL MOVI is only available ina LED version and is particularlysuitable for private gardens.The depth of the recessed fixingkit, which contains the motorfor raising/lowering theluminaire, is 630 mm.STEEL MOVI160OSTEEL ROUNDSTEEL ROUND COMPACT

They are available withan intensive, medium and wide circularoptic, an asymmetric optic and withground level emission directed in threedirections.STEEL ROUND MAXI uses fluorescent,discharge and LED light sources.The COMPACT versions, identical tothe others as far as the appearance isconcerned, are equipped with recessedfixing kit only 165 mm deep.ALSOSTEEL SQUARE luminaires are suitablefor lighting architectural structuresand monuments. They are availablewith asymmetric, circular andwall washer optics.STEEL SQUARE uses fluorescent,discharge and LED light sources.The depth of the recessed fixing kitis 127 mm for all sizes.STEEL SQUARESTEEL ROUND MAXISTEEL ROUND MAXI COMPACT161

PRISMA ARCHITECTURALThe stainless steel that characterises the STEEL rangeis an inalterable material resistant to any climate.The range has been designed for all typesof outdoor installation.STEEL products are walk-over and drive-overresistant in accordance with EN 60598-2-13.163

The recessed fixing kits of theCOMPACT versions make it possibleto install the luminaires even insituations with reduced installationdepth, such as in concrete slabs aboveunderground rooms.COMPACT luminaires are neverthelessidentical to luminaires with a deeperrecessed fixing kit, and thus makeit possible to maintain maximumuniformity of style in the project.STEEL COMPACT recessed fixingkits canca also be installed even in theabsence of draining terrain.absenWater drainage is ensured by theWatespecial shape of the recessed fixingspeciakit (humpback),(halong with the useof a sstandard corrugated pipe.164

The QUICK versions allow quickinstallation in both COMPACTluminaires and those with adeeper recessed fixing kit.They are supplied completewith lamp and junction box:the luminaire works with asimple electrical connection.All STEEL luminaires are designed to preventmoisture and condensation being suckedback inside the luminaires in particulartemperature conditions.This preserves the electrical components,with evident positive effects on the safetyand reliability of the luminaires.165

All the ROUND COMPACT AND ROUNDMAXI COMPACT recessed fixing kits aresupplied complete with shaped steel barsshaped to ensure that they are resistantto vehicle traffic.Drive-over guaranteed if installed inconcrete only.166

PRISMA ARCHITECTURALThe STEEL ROUND COMPACT and MAXI COMPACTversions are particularly useful in situationswhere the standard, deeper recessed fixing kitscannot be used.The STEEL ROUND COMPACTrange has an aluminium bodywith wiring compartmentseparate from the lampcompartment to optimise thebalance and thermal influenceof the lamp.167

The widthof the emission beam may be 8 or wall washer 10 x 45 .concentrated LED 8 minor axismajor axiswall washer 10 x45 LED(elliptical)The STEEL SQUARE SIDE versions include one LEDbar only, positioned on the side. This solution allowsasymmetric emission, which can be modified at willas the direction of the bar can be adjusted.In all STEEL SQUARE versions, the LEDs arepositioned on adjustable bars that enable the lightto be directed, concentrating it in the chosen points.The bars must be directed before mounting the glassand the closing ring.By keeping the bars parallel to the ground,the emission will be upwards.172Each individual bar can be directly independently from the others,to concentrate the light emission as required.

PRISMA ARCHITECTURALIn the STEEL range, the STEEL ROUNDversions are available with blue andamber LEDs, but all the luminaires in theseries are available in a LED version withdifferent shades of white light.Unlike conventional light sources, withLEDs, you can choose the shade ofwhite light that best suits the variousenvironments of use.COOL WHITE SHADE(cool white: 5000 K)This is particularly suitable for outdoorapplications, for high flux and highbrilliance.WARM WHITE SHADE(warm white: 3300 K)This is a comfortable warm lightwhich, by mimicking the emission ofthe incandescence, adapts to indoorenvironments.NEUTRAL WHITE SHADE(neutral white: 3300/5000 K)This is the right balance betweenbrightness, tone and colour rendering,often required when adding to orcombining with existing light sources.LED light is nevertheless always freeof ultraviolet or infrared emissions:this ensures high colour rendering anddoes not cause colour change in theilluminated element.STEEL SQUARE LEDwarm white (3000 K)cool white (6000 K)STEEL MINIneutral white (4000 K)cool white (6000 K)(RGB power versions can be madeon request)STEEL MOVIneutral white (4000 K)175
