IntroductionThis report provides labor market information in Imperial County for the following occupational code in theStandard Occupational Classification (SOC)1 system:Medical Assistants (SOC 31-9092): Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under thedirection of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintainingmedical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may includetaking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawingblood, and administering medications as directed by physician.
