We hope that you will try some Scouting activities that are new to you. To encourage all sections to have a go at Adventurous Activities. To encourage further attendance next year. To set the scene for a brief Scouts Own when all Sections will renew their promises.Information for LeadersArrival InformationTAKE CARE WHEN CROSSING THE ROAD OUTSIDE OUR SCOUT ACTIVITY CENTREA CROSSING PATROL OFFICER (LOLLIPOP) WILL BE PRESENTCROSS WITH LOLLIPOPL adRontoowThe Car Park will be restricted for Disabled Parking & Minibuses.o Please ensure the car park access road is kept clear for vehicles driving through. All Groups / Sections are responsible for their Young People.Groups / District Sections are asked to bring their Section Flags & place them in the Flag Poleholders around the field.Soft drinks will be available for young people at the kitchenA copy of the days plan, all the details, risk assessment will be placed in the Window to the left ofthe defibrillator by the main door DHQ door.Incidents; should there be an incident that requires the emergency medical treatment pleaseensure this is reported to Paul Jackson (07939 547453), we will co-ordinate their arrival onto siteand to those involved.Flag Break / Final Activity Briefing, 2pm to 2.10pm Each Patrol should consist of 2 Beavers, 2 Cubs, 2 Scouts with a Scout or Young Leader as PL. Each Group should bring as many Patrols as possible. The objective of each Patrol is to visit as many activities as possible and to get as many ticks aspossible on an ‘Activity Tick Sheet’. There will be a small prize for each Patrol that presents Dave P with the completed sheet at theend of the afternoon. Tick Sheets and ‘Golden Tickets’ will be handed out to Groups upon arrival. Activities will work on a similar basis to previous years including the Golden Ticket system.

Activities, 2.10pm to 15.20pm (ish) We would once again like each Group to bring one or more activities that Patrols, from otherGroups in the District, can spend about 10 minutes having a go at. The activity should be simple to explain to the visiting Patrols. Ideally several Patrols should be able to have a go at an activity in parallel. We do not want lots ofyoungsters stood around waiting for an activity. We would like to encourage Groups to run a different activity to last year, if possible, but we willbe grateful for any activity you can bring along. In the past, Explorer Units have commented on the scarcity of “Explorer Appropriate” activities.o If an Explorer Unit would like to organise an activity especially for Explorers and olderScouts, that would be very welcome.o A chariot / sedan chair race has been suggested, but, don't let me tell you what to do.o Younger Patrol members could cheer their older Patrol members on during the activity Please remember to tick off your activity on the visiting Patrol's tick sheet. Please complete the form : -day-2022 so weknow what activity you are planning to run, and then we can create the "Activity Tick Sheet". In addition to the Group activities, the District Climbing, Archery and Tomahawk hopefully will berun.o Each Group / Explorer Unit will be given 2 "Golden Tickets" for climbing, 2 for archery and 2for tomahawks.o These tickets can be awarded, by the GSL or Unit Leader, to deserving members of theGroup or Unit.o The bearer of a "Golden Ticket" will be admitted to climbing or archery or tomahawks, asper the label on the ticket.o The tickets will be timed for the start of the activity and the middle, so we do not haveeveryone arriving at once.o There will be some additional “Golden Tickets" for each activity that may be issued todeserving youngsters during the activity hour, depending on throughput.o If the weather is bad, we may not be able to use the barn for archery, so in thesecircumstances archery will not run.o Please advertise these extra activities to your Groups, so that§ They wear appropriate footwear for climbing§ Parents/guardians are aware of the activity their youngster might take part in.Scouts Own, 3.30pm (ish) The Scouts own will take place during the afternoon & will begin at 3.30pm (ish) We understand that there has been difficulties in sourcing Uniforms across the District. If some ofyour Young People don’t have Uniforms yet, that is fine, we would preferer them to take part andbe together in our 1st District Wide face to face event since the pandemic.Flag Down, Fallout We understand there will be tea and biscuits for Leaders after fallout. The Tuck Shop will be open after fallout. Prizes for completed activity sheets from ADC Activities (Dave P)
