The number of properties inWashington, Oregon and Californiaparticularly impressed us.We typically liketo winter in sunnyCalifornia, and wereespecially delightedto use our credits atWorldMark resortsat Oceanside Harbor,Rosarito Beach inMexico and MarinaDunes on the Monterey peninsula. It was at the Marina Dunes resortthat we truly experienced the closefamily atmosphere of WorldMarkfirst-hand. One day after gettingout of the hot tub I fainted andsuffered an extreme drop in bloodpressure. WorldMark staff membersfrom both maintenance and housekeeping rushed to help me andimmediately called for an ambulance. Quick actionby all at the resortcombined with theemergency care at thecommunity hospitalin Monterey resultedin the rapid counteraction of the case ofhypothermia that Ihad experienced, and I was actuallyable to go home to our cozy condothat evening. Resort manager TeriHilton had been kind enough todrive my husband, Frank, to thehospital—she even had an employee drive our car to the hospital sothat it would be there for us whenI was released. Everyone’s quickresponse and sincere caring madea frightful experience much morebearable. We will always remember how theresort staff went above and beyondwhat we would have expected fromany hotel or motel management. Wewant to let other WorldMark owners know of our positive experienceat WorldMark Marina Dunes—just one of our many “homes awayfrom home” in this well-managedorganization.Mary Joyce and Frank LausandBremerton, WashingtonDESTINATIONS August 20055

My master suite is on the lowest level andas I spot the enormous inviting Jacuzzi tub I momentarilythink, “Oh great, I’m still never going to see the Olympicpeninsula.” One balcony is on the master suite floor anda second is off the middle level, where the living room, kitchen and laundry room are located. This “City of Dreams”was expected to become the largest harbor on the WestCoast, and it thrived while overseas vessels frequented itsport and the Northern Pacific Railroad planned to buildits northwest extension into the heart of the town.
