YHS Y-LINE: WEEK OF APRIL 13TH3rd QUARTER GRADING3rd quarter grades were compiled/completed on Tuesday April 14 and will be posted on Friday (report cardsmailed). As you are aware, the division has stated that students can still improve their quarter 3 grade duringquarter 4 if they choose to do so. Please contact your teachers if you would like to have an opportunity toimprove your quarter 3 grade. Teachers will complete grade changes with guidance once any grade has beenapproved.4TH QUARTER LEARNING MODULESLearning Modules containing new 4th quarter instruction will be available beginning April 20th. Modules willbe posted on Mondays and students will be able to complete modules throughout the week. Modules aredesigned to incorporate direct instruction, engaging activities and interaction between students andteachers. COMMUNITY SERVICE LOG for the Class of 2020Record the date of service, the service rendered, the location of the service and the number of servicehours. Students are responsible for identifying a supervisor for each community serviceactivity. Supervisors must verify earned hours by signing the Community Service Log and providing theircontact information. Students will submit community service logs to their School Counselor. For Springof 2020 submission, please use this log to document community service hours for the following: YCSDHonors Program (min. 20 hours), the Civics Seal (min. 50 hours), and the YCSD Community Service Seal(min. 150 hours).Work-Based Learning Opportunities at York High SchoolWork-based learning experiences enable students to apply classroom instruction in a real-world business orservice-oriented work environment.
