STUDENT ACCESS TO YORK COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY RESOURCESStudents, keep this information in a handy spot for future reference during your high school career.The York County Public Library has partnered with the York County School Division in graciouslyallowing student access to its online databases using YCSD sign-on credentials. I would also like toencourage everyone to obtain their own personal library card – the application is at the end of thisissue.** Simply fill out the information and drop by the library – the closest one is just down theroad from YHS at 8500 George Washington Memorial Highway. It only takes a moment, and you willreceive your card in about 10 minutes. You will need to complete the TranscriptRequest Form only ONCE.2)Return your signed Transcript Request Form and a completed Senior Information Sheet(included in your senior packet or you can download it from the YHS School Counselingwebsite https://ycsd.yorkcountyschools.org/Page/4320) to your School Counselor viaemail. In order for your counselor to complete his/her portion of your college applications, itis REQUIRED that you complete and submit your Senior Information Sheet in a timelyfashion. Please notify your counselor of any electronic application submissions so he/she cancheck to make sure electronic requests have been received.**Your counselor must receive notification at least two weeks before your application deadline.***When requesting letters of recommendation, it is important you give the recommender at leasttwo weeks to write your letter. PARCHMENTThe majority of colleges and universities are now accepting transcripts via Parchment(www.parchment.com/register), an electronic transcript exchange service. In order to create youraccount with Parchment, you must have a registration code, which you received in your seniorpacket.
