Useblack ink only and numbers must bereadable. Do not send any other documents with thetimesheet. Extra writing on the timesheet can delay yourpaycheck. You will not be paid for hours claimed morethan the recipient’s authorized IHSS hours. You and your recipient must sign anddate the back of your time sheet. Do not fold or use correction tape on thetimesheet.

Address Change—To change your mailingaddress, call or come to the lobby. We needyour signature to change your address. Youmust change your address with us, not justat the Post Office. Continuing Providers—If you are alreadyenrolled as an IHSS Provider, and have beenhired by a new client and you needtimesheets, call or come to the lobby for aContinuing Provider Packet. You will need toprovide your provider ID and your newclient’s name or case number. Keep your paystubs! You need them toapply for housing, benefits and credit. Stay active on payroll. If you do notsubmit at least one time sheet per year, youbecome inactive and have to go throughenrollment all over again!PAYROLLREMINDERS

Duties and Responsibilitiesof anIHSS PROVIDER.Domestic and RelatedPersonal Care

Some things NOT coveredby the IHSS program.IHSS only pays for specificIHSS Authorized Tasks.IHSS will NOT pay for the timeit takes the Provider to doanything else.This will be on the Provider’s owntime, which is NOT paid time.

Worker’s CompensationYou are NOT covered by Worker’sCompensation for doing tasks that areNOT Authorized. If you are injured while performing an approved IHSS task,you cannot work for any of your IHSS recipients. You maybe eligible for disability. Immediately notify your recipients, and call the IHSSIntake Line (707) 784-8259. For Worker’s Compensation only, the STATE is youremployer. The State has contracted with York Risk Servicesas the insurance carrier, and they will be the ones to paythe claim. You must go to an approved Worker’s Compensation doctor,unless your physician has signed a pre-designation form.

How much is overtime pay? Overtime pay istime-and-a-half(1.5 times yourhourly rate). In Solano County,the current pay rateis 11.50 per hour,so the overtime rateis 17.25 per hour

What are the Overtime Limits? Beginning 2/1/16, each IHSSconsumer’s monthlyauthorized hours will bedivided by 4 to determinetheir maximum weeklyhours. Both the consumerand provider will get a noticeand will need to ensureweekly hours to do notexceed this maximum. If an IHSS provider isworking for more than oneconsumer, the maximumhours the provider may workin one week is 66.

Whathappens if aProviderworks morethan theweekly hoursallowed? Providers will not be paidfor hours above themonthly authorized hoursfor each consumer If overtime is notnormally approved on aweekly basis, but aconsumer requires you towork over 40 hours in oneweek, approval of theIHSS Social Worker isrequired. Failure to get approval willresult in the IHSSProvider receiving aviolation. Violations canresult in suspension ortermination of a provider.

EXAMPLE 1IS OVERTIME APPROVAL REQUIRED? You work for aconsumer who isapproved for 25hours per week.They ask you towork 30 hours thisweek, and 20 hoursnext week.

EXAMPLE 2IS OVERTIME APPROVAL REQUIRED? You work for aconsumer who isapproved for 38hours per week.They ask you towork 42 hours thisweek, and 18 hoursnext week.

EXAMPLE 3IS THIS OK? You work for 2 consumers, 1is your mother who you carefor 30 hours per week. Theother is a friend, who youusually work for 36 hoursper week. Your friend asksyou to work 38 hours thisweek instead of 36. Shetells you that since it isn’tover 40 hours per week, it isok and she will adjust nextweek.What do you think?Here’s why:38 36 74 hours

What is Wait Time? If an IHSS provideraccompanies theIHSS consumer to adoctor’s appointmentand is required towait for them, theIHSS provider maynow be paid for thattime. Contact theIHSS Social Workerfor approval.

What is Travel Time? If an IHSS provider cares formore than one consumerand the IHSS consumers livein different locations, IHSSproviders may be paid forthe time it takes them totravel directly fromconsumer 1 to consumer 2,up to 7 hours per week. Travel time is recorded on aclaim form, and in order fora claim form to be sent, aprovider must complete theSOC 2255 and return it tothe County. If you need oneof these forms, let us know.

OVERTIMEVIOLATIONS1st - The Consumerand Provider will get anotice of the violationwith appeal rightsinformation 2nd – In addition tonotices, the providerwill have to attend aone-time training 3rd – In addition tonotices, the providerwill be suspended for 3months 4th – In addition tonotices, the providerwill be terminated.They will have to reenroll in 1 year
