OFFICE OF THE COMPTROLLER, CITY OF NEW YORKCONSTRUCTION APPRENTICE PREVAILING WAGE SCHEDULEOFFICE OF THE COMPTROLLERCITY OF NEW YORKCONSTRUCTION APPRENTICEPREVAILING WAGE SCHEDULEPursuant to Labor Law § 220 (3-e), only apprentices who are individuallyregistered in a bona fide program to which the employer contractor is a participantand registered with the New York State Department of Labor, may be paid at theapprentice rates in this schedule. Apprentices who are not so registered must bepaid as journey persons in accordance with the trade classification of the workthey actually performed.Apprentice ratios are established to ensure the proper safety, training andsupervision of apprentices. A ratio establishes the number of journey workersrequired for each apprentice in a program and on a job site.
