Riza Demirer, Ph.D.Associate Professor of FinanceDr. Demirer joined SIUE in 2003, bringing his considerable talents in teaching corporatefinance and investments to the classroom. His research interest is in the areas ofemerging stock markets and risk management in energy markets. Dr. Demirer serves asa reviewer for academic journals as well as the National Science Foundation Decision,Risk & Management Science-Economics program.

Tom Douglas, Ph.D.Associate Professor of ManagementAfter 25 years in managerial roles with AT&T, Dr. Douglas brought hisreal-world managerial know-how to SIUE strategic management andentrepreneurship classrooms in 2005. His belief that students mustnot only learn important concepts but also experience them has beenexercised through leading courses conducted on-site in China (PRC).
