2000-2001 CSU Stanislaus Catalog Supplement / 7Public Safety EmergencyTransfer RequirementsIn an emergency or to report an incident dial 911 ifusing a campus phone.The Multi-Campus Regional Center (MCRC) has beenrenamed CSU Stanislaus-Stockton.For upper division transfers seeking admission to FallSemester 2000 or later, all applicants with 56 or moretransferable semester (84 quarter) units will be required tohave completed at least 30 semester units of courses thatmeet General Education requirements. The 30 semesterunits must include all of the General Education requirements in communication in English language (3 courses)and at least three semester units (typically 1 course) inmathematics.Honor SocietiesDual Admission AgreementsCalifornia State University, StanislausColumbia College, Merced College, Modesto JuniorCollege, San Joaquin Delta College, and CSU Stanislausjointly developed dual admission agreements that promoteminimum upper-division transfer requirements and a reduction in future remediation needs. The dual admissionagreement program guarantees transfer admission to CSUStanislaus provided the students satisfy the conditions ofthe agreement. This is a collaborative effort to informcommunity college freshmen which courses they need totake before transfer to CSU Stanislaus. 8 / 2000-2001 CSU Stanislaus Catalog SupplementUndergraduate International StudentAdmission TOEFL RequirementAdvanced Placement International EnglishLanguage (APIEL) TestOn an interim basis until the CSU adopts a statewidepolicy, CSU Stanislaus will accept a 3 or higher APIELscore in lieu of a 500 TOEFL (Test of English as a ForeignLanguage) total score for undergraduate admission English proficiency.English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT)The CSU has a pilot program to accept a 950 EnglishLanguage Proficiency Test (ELPT) score in lieu of a 500TOEFL score.Undergraduate TOEFL RequirementExemptionsExemptions from the TOEFL are given to those undergraduate admission applicants who present proof of one ofthe following:1.2.3.4.An ACT English score of 24 or higher; orA SAT Verbal score of 550 or higher; orAn EPT of 151 or higher; orCompletion and transfer of a course that satisfies theCSU General Education-Breadth or IntersegmentalGeneral Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) written communication requirement, provided such coursewas completed with a grade of C –or better.Revised Health ScreeningAll new and readmitted students born after January 1,1957 will be notified of the requirement to present proof ofmeasles and rubella immunizations. This is not an admission requirement, but shall be required of students by thebeginning of their second term of enrollment in CSU. Proofof measles and rubella immunizations shall also be required for certain groups of enrolled students who haveincreased exposure to these diseases. Proof of HepatitisB immunization is also required of students under age19 years at initial enrollment; these students will be notifiedof the requirement by the Health Center.

A score of 550 or above on the Verbal section of theCollege Board SAT I* Reasoning Test taken on or afterApril 1, 1995; or2. A score of 470 or above on the Verbal section of theCollege Board SAT I* Reasoning Test taken betweenMarch 1994 and March 1995. A score of 470 or aboveon the Verbal section of the College Board ScholasticAptitude Test (SAT) taken prior to March 1994; or3. A score of 24 or above on the enhanced ACT EnglishTest taken October 1989 or later; or4.
