FOREWORD :I wish to dedicate this Seven Sorrow’s Rosary to three special people.My Parents: my Mother - Elsie May Illsley 1913-1990, my Father - ArthurGeorge Illsley 1910-1983 and a very generous soul who first sent me theSeven Sorrows Rosary. Since that day I have not stopped saying it. I wantalso to express my gratitude to many people (too numerous to mention byname) for their generosity, encouragement, advice and prayers - includingmy own family who have given me the inspiration to produce this book.Over the years I have become more and more aware of Mary’s urgency incalling all her children to Holiness of life. I pray that you, who will readthis book, will treasure the teachings of our Mother Mary, and allow Jesusand His Blessed Mother to enrich your inner journey towards the blessedhomeland of Heaven.PHILIP ILLSLEYOur Blessed Mother tells us: “When we pray, our hearts are open and Godloves us with a special love and He gives us special graces.” Therefore shesays “Make good use of this time of grace and devote it more to prayer andto God.” The Holy Virgin has promised that when The Seven SorrowsRosary is prayed with an open and repentant heart the rosary would win usthe Lord’s forgiveness for our sins and free our souls from guilt andremorse. She also promised that, over time, the rosary would developwithin us a deep understanding of why we sin and that knowledge wouldgive us wisdom and strength to change or remove any internal flaws,weaknesses of character, or personality faults, causing unhappiness andkeeping us from enjoying the joyous life God intended for us. Mary, ourMother, says: “I am the Mother of the King of Heaven, and He calls Mefull of grace and, being full of grace, I am able to dispense graces to all ofmy children who pray and those who recite The Rosary - The SevenSorrows Rosary are My Sons and My Daughters and Brothers and Sistersof My only son, Jesus Christ.”The Great and the most powerful people on earth today are those whopray and have a daily prayerful life!!! These are the people who aredoing The most for Our Lord and His Blessed Mother! These are thepeople who put daily prayer first in their lives then they group all theother items in life’s daily schedule around and after their time spent indaily prayer.

This Seven Sorrows Rosary is very powerful, and we should dedicate thisrosary to honour our Blessed Mother by following and sharing in Hersuffering.And when we pray this Seven Sorrows Rosary our Blessed Mother comesto us as Our Lady of grace, with Hands outstretched, and Rays of Lightemit from Her Hands Piercing your body; healing you, and filling you withGraces. This is your inheritance which was poured out from The Heartof Jesus on The Cross when the centurion pierced His Heart with thespear into the only pure vessel to receive such graces Our Blessed Motherwho was there at the foot of the Cross; and what a Mother.There are Three intentions that I would like us all to offer this SevenSorrows Rosary for.These are:1)1st Intention ----- Forgiveness as the basis of all our healing. Therefore ourintention must be to Forgive all those who have hurt and upset us in the past.We ask Jesus to forgive them, to bless them and to heal them. We ask Jesus forall the times that we have hurt and upset others during our entire life. We askJesus for His pardon, His healing, and for His forgiveness.2)2nd Intention ----- To Pray for all the unbelievers in this world, especially allthose who do not believe that God Exists --that all these poor sinners willreturn to their Father’s house before The Coming Tribulation, The Warning, TheMiracle, and the possible Chastisement foretold by Our Blessed Lady the Queenof Prophets at Garabandal in Spain in 1961.3)3rd Intention -----We must, All of us in the Church today, pray and fast tosupport our Pope Benedict XV1Benedict is Peter! We all need to pray that Pope Benedict and all his Bishopswill join him in consecrating all countries including RUSSIA to The ImmaculateHeart of Mary. That they will all lead the Church in the First Saturdayreparatory devotions to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This will lead the Churchto Victory over Lucifer as David led Israel to victory over Goliath and thePhilistines. Pray for Pope Benedict as he prayerfully contemplates the promisesand warnings of the three parts of the Message of Fatima, within the propheticcontext of Garabandal and Akita, and to defeat his enemies, visible andinvisible, who work against him within and without Christ’s Church.Jesus and Mary, we love You save souls.

HOW TO PRAY THIS ROSARY:This rosary can be prayed aloud or contemplated silently, alone or withothers: But the key is for the prayers, reflections, and meditations,to always come from the depths of our heart. To pray with the heartand not just with words, think about what you are saying, and to whomyou are addressing in prayer - God!Pope Paul V1 Stressed the need for meditating on the mysteries of theRosary when it is being said. Without this he said “The rosarybecomes a body without a soul”a form of gospel—meditation rosary is the purpose of this book!PRAYER BEFORE THE SEVEN SORROWS ROSARY:“Lord Jesus entered inside you, taking that which I find in you,transformed in you, and making myself one with you, I desire topray --- the seven sorrows rosary in the divine will and to diffuse itin all creatures as at a single point in an act in the divine will,Bilocated main actor in my soul. Amen Fiat.INTRODUCTRY PRAYER:My God, I offer You this rosary for Your Glory, so I may honour YourHoly Mother, The Blessed Virgin, So I can share and meditate uponHer Suffering. I humbly ask You to give me true repentance for all mysins. Give me wisdom and humility so that I may receive all theindulgences and graces contained in this prayer.ACT OF CONTRITION: O My God, I am heartily sorry for havingoffended You and I detest all my sins because I dread the loss ofheaven and the pains of hell; but most of all because they offend You,My God; You who are all good and deserving of all my love.
