I did something I never didbefore and responded to the ad. To my surprise, I received a call from Dina within a couple of hours. I wentahead and scheduled an appointment with her for Saturday. We sat and talked for a good couple of hours. Sheis very good with people (or maybe just me). It was myturn to surprise her.I signed up on the spot. Theywalked me through every step. If I had to navigate allof that myself, I probably would not have gone back toschool. I started school the following Monday!I have had such a great experience with all of thedoctors and professors. There was Dr. Saddler, Dr. Appiah, Dr. Capri, Dr. Hammer, Dr. Williamceau, Dr.Burns, Dr. McConnell, Dr. V, and many others. I canhonestly say that I have had assistance from everymember of the staff there, whether it was the receptionist or the Dean, and everyone in between. On my firstday, I had a Sports medicine class taught by Dr. Burns.To say I was overwhelmed is an understatement. Thankgoodness Dina came to the rescue and convinced methat I could do it and to give it my best. It is a day I will never forget.I have always been interested in alternative medicine but never really had the tools to be able toreally dig into it. Everglades not only gave me the tools but opened my eyes to many different avenues.I have been able to use my limited knowledge to help my family and friends. EU – TAMPA GRADUATE TESTIMONIAL – KARA BROWNBACHELOR OF SCIENCE, ALTERNATIVE MEDICINEI am a military spouse and have moved quite a bit in the last 25 years. I hadstarted my degree and then put it off so I could raise my children. I was anursing major and planned to go back to my program when my kids were oldenough. Over time, two serious car accidents and various health diagnoses became obstacles to my continuing in school. Years later, I made my way to Everglades University to learn what I love: alternative medicine. Dr. Jean Williamceau, Dr. McConnell, and Dr. Appiah have all been incredibly supportive,and they were there to answer all my questions and took time about of theirbusy schedules to call me and discuss the course and answer questions. Theyare all simply amazing!! Dina Siganos, Dean Carlson and Dr. Abby have allplayed a HUGE part of my success at Everglades. From listening to me talkabout my courses, calming me down when I was upset over getting started,and working with me based on my schedule and my medical issues, I COULDNOT HAVE DONE ANY OF THIS WITHOUT THEM!!!
