Our goal is to provideyour family with unparalleled compassionate and professional service, and help you choose the goods and services that willbest represent a funeral or memorial service that is meaningful to you and your loved ones. Hooper & Weaver Mortuary islocally and family owned and operated.The goods and services shown below are those we can provide our customers. You may choose only those items youdesire. However, any funeral arrangement you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legalor other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reasons in writing onthe statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected. This list does not include prices for certainitems that you may ask us to buy for you, such as cemetery property, ground or air transportation out of the immediate area,flowers and newspaper notices. The prices for these items will be shown on your statement describing the funeral goods andservices you selected.PROFESSIONAL SERVICESa. Services of Funeral Director and StaffThis is a basic fee that we charge every family for our professional expertise in assisting them with their preference.It includes a proportionate share of the taxes, licenses, utilities and business expenses required to serve the public.Our charge includes, but is not limited to: Availability 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, consultation with the family,administrative and clerical service, preparation of the death certificate for certification of the attending physician orcoroner, necessary permits, filing of the death certificate with appropriate agencies, consultation with clergy, cemetery,crematory or common carrier, assistance with insurance papers, notification to Social Security Administration, assistance withordering of military grave stone and American flag application, placement of newspaper notices, and minimumcare of decedent remains. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeralarrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for cremation packages, burial packages,and forwarding or receiving the remains.) . 1,950.00b. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you selectcertain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right tochoose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as a direct cremation or immediate burial.
