VISA/DANKORT CARD CONDITIONSThe conditions that apply to Visa/Dankortcards are set out below.method of payment. You may overrule the merchant’s choice where technically possible in accordance with the legislation in force.1 Visa/Dankort card conditionsDanske Bank A/S. CVR no. 61 12 62 28 – KøbenhavnThese conditions apply to the use ofVisa/Dankort cards in and outside Denmark.The conditions apply whether the card is usedfor purchases in a physical shop or for onlinepurchases.The entries in your account will specifywhether a payment has been completed as aDankort or a Visa transaction.The conditions apply to Visa/Dankort cards,both physical cards and any virtual cards in adigital wallet. Definitions of terms used arelisted at the end of this document.Please note that international Visa card payments may be subject to fees and charges, andthat the transaction amount is charged to themonthly spending limit on your Visa card. Thisapplies also if you use the Visa part of yourVisa/Dankort card in Denmark (see clause2.5).2 Use2.1 Cash withdrawalsThe Visa/Dankort card is a payment instrument that you may use with merchants that accept the card in and outside Denmark.You may use either your Dankort card or yourVisa card to withdraw cash from ATMs thataccept Dankort cards and/or Visa cards. Youmay also use your card to withdraw cash atDanske Bank’s branches and at most otherbanks in Denmark.If a merchant accepts both Visa and Dankortcards, the merchant may have chosen eitherDankort or Visa as the merchant’s preferredVisa/DankortPage 1 of 21Please note that not all Danish ATMs acceptthe Dankort card. In such case, the withdrawalwill be made using the Visa part of your cardand may thus be subject to a fee.Visa card fees and any amount limits arestated in the list of charges.2.2 Purchases from merchantsYou may use your Visa/Dankort card to pay forgoods and services provided by merchants accepting the Dankort card and/or the Visa card.You may also use your card to make online purchases as well as purchases by mail order andtelephone order. You may not use your Visa/Dankort for illegalpurposes, including purchases of goods or services considered illegal under local legislation.Danske Bank A/S. CVR no. 61 12 62 28 – KøbenhavnIn connection with Visa card purchasesabroad, you may be asked to choose whetherthe purchase should be made in the local currency or in Danish kroner (see clause 18.4 forfurther details).2.3 Approval of account transfers via DanskeBank’s ATMsYou may use your card to approve accounttransfers made via Danske Bank’s ATMs to accounts with Danske Bank and to accounts withother banks in Denmark.2.4 Debits to your accountAs a general rule, purchases and cash withdrawals (transactions) made using yourDankort card are debited to your account onthe day you use the card. Visa card transactions will be entered the day after the purchaseor cash withdrawal at the earliest. The time atwhich the amount is debited to your accountVisa/Dankortwill, however, depend on when we receive thetransaction.2.5 Spending limitUnless otherwise agreed, purchases and cashwithdrawals may not exceed the current balance in your account (see clauses 2.6-2.10).2.6 Contactless payment or card in a digitalwalletWhen you use contactless payment or a digitalwallet (for example your Dankort card on yourmobile phone), an amount limit determineswhether you need to enter your PIN. For information on the amount limit, please visit danskebank.dk. The amount limit may change. Youwill receive notification if the limit is raised orlowered more than 50% within a calendaryear.If the transaction exceeds the current amountlimit, you will automatically be asked to authorise the payment by entering your PIN. At regular intervals, you will be asked to enter yourPIN even if the amount does not exceed the applicable amount limit.Page 2 of 212.7 Gambling and lotteryWhen you use your Visa/Dankort card atshops that provide gambling and betting services – that is, when you use your card at casinos, for buying lottery tickets, on race coursesand the like – a daily spending limit may apply.The list of charges specifies this limit.2.8 Cash withdrawalsVisa/Dankort cards are subject to a daily cashwithdrawal limit. The amount is stated in thelist of fees and charges.2.9 Visa – spending limitsYour Visa card is subject to an overall limit onpurchases and cash withdrawals over a 30-dayperiod. You may have to pay a fee every time youwithdraw cash regardless of the amount withdrawn.The Dankort card may be registered only withloyalty programmes that have been approvedby Nets. Go to this website to see the loyaltyprogrammes that have been px2.11 Card in digital wallet with spending limitYou may allow others, for example your child,to pay using your Visa/Dankort card as a virtual card in a digital wallet (for example aDankort card on a mobile phone) subject tospecial limitations.3 Visa/Dankort card useThis is done via special mobile phone apps withwhich you can set up a payment option thatuses your Visa/Dankort card and define spending limits. When you have set up the card, theperson in question can use his or her mobilephone to pay for purchases at merchants.Information on how to set this up and user instructions are given in the app.2.12 Loyalty programmesYou can register the Dankort card and the Visacard for various loyalty programmes.Visa/Dankort3.1 PaymentBefore you authorise a payment or cash withdrawal, you must always check that theamount is correct. Payments that you have authorised cannot be revoked. See, however,clauses 8 and 9 regarding the possibility of reversing a payment.You should always make sure to get a receiptfor your transaction (in certain self-service machines, however, you may not get a receipt).Youmust make sure that the amount matches theamount of the purchase or cash withdrawaland that the date is correct. You should keepyour receipt until you have verified that the correct amount has been debited to your account(see clause 7).Page 3 of 21You can use your Visa/Dankort card in the following ways:Reading/checking of data on the card via chipor magnetic strip and PIN. subscriptions under which the merchantcharges amounts according to specificagreement with youagreements with providers of a digital wallet in which you register your card data foruse in connection with future purchases approved and initiated by youWhen you enter your PIN, you must make surethat no one else can see the combination.Danske Bank A/S. CVR no. 61 12 62 28 – KøbenhavnNever sign a receipt if the amount is not statedor if the amount is incorrect.If you notice that a merchant issues more thanone receipt stating your card details, you mustmake sure that any unsigned receipts are destroyed.If you authorise a merchant to debit an additional amount (a service tip, for example) toyour Visa/Dankort card, you must ask for a receipt for the full amount.Visa/DankortWhen you use your Visa/Dankort card to hire acar or pay for hotel accommodation, for example, you will often be asked to sign a receiptthat allows the car hire company or the hotel tosubsequently debit additional amounts. Youmust keep in mind that signing a receipt mayallow the car hire company or the hotel to debitadditional amounts to your account (see clause8).An amount limit applies to each transactionmade without entering your PIN (see clause2.5).Merchants such as car hire companies and hotels can also reserve an amount through yourcard to cover the final invoice in full or in part.A merchant may reserve only the amount forwhich you have given your consent.3.3. Dankort card on your mobile phone andvirtual cards in digital walletsYou may connect your Visa/Dankort card to anapp on your mobile phone and use this functionto pay with your Dankort card for example(Dankort card on your mobile phone). You cansee a list of approved digital wallets on theDankort x3.2 Contactless paymentIf your card allows contactless payment, youcan make purchases at merchants offeringthat service. Contactless payment terminalsallow you to use the card without inserting itinto the payment terminal. Instead, you acceptpayment by holding the card close to the terminal (at a distance of 0-3 cm). Terminals with acontactless function bear the following symbol:Page 4 of 21At regular intervals, you will be asked to approve the payment by entering your PIN even ifthe amount does not exceed the current limitfor purchases made using the contactless payment function.You can register your Dankort card in all approved wallets that are open for Danske Bankissued Dankort on your mobile phone. Furthermore, you will be asked tochoose a personalised security feature, for example a PIN, to be used if a purchase madewith your Dankort card on your mobile phone,for example, requires you to use a personalisedsecurity feature.Danske Bank A/S. Theremay be limits to how many times you can linkthe physical Dankort card to your mobilephone.You cannot use Dankort card on your mobilephone for purchases online, by mail order andtelephone order.3.4 Self-service machines without PINAt certain self-service machines, you can useyour Visa/Dankort card without entering yourPIN or signing a receipt. In such machines, youaccept the transaction when yourVisa/Dankort card is read by the machine orwhen you subsequently press the button to approve the transaction.Visa/Dankort3.5 Use of card number, expiry date and cardvalidation codeYou must enter the card number, expiry dateand card validation code to trade online.Go to the Dankort , to see which digital wallet providersand unique device IDs have been approved.If the merchant uses Visa Secure or DankortSecured by Nets, the special rules in clause 6apply.You can agree with a merchant that the merchant will keep a record of your card data forfuture payments of a subscription or other recurring purchases. The merchant automatically debits the agreed payments to your account, and you will thus not be required to approve each individual payment. When you useyour card data in this way, please ensure thatyou can terminate the subscription again andnote the conditions that apply.To make purchases by mail or telephone order,you must state the card number, expiry date,card validation code and, if required, your nameand address. When you make a purchase bymail order, you must also sign the order form.Never disclose your PIN or similar personalised security feature in any of the above transactions.3.6 Advance registration of card dataYou can register your card data with a specificmerchant or with a provider of a digital walletso that you will not have to enter your carddata when approving future online purchases.You must follow the instructions provided bythe merchant or the wallet provider.Page 5 of 21If your card is replaced, you must update yourcard information with merchants who haveyour card data on record and whom you wishto continue to be able to pay without being required to approve the transactions. 4 Protection of your Visa/Dankort card andPINDanske Bank A/S. CVR no. 61 12 62 28 – København4.1 CardYour card is personal and may be used only byyou. When you receive your card, you must immediately sign it in the signature field on theback. You may not hand over or give the card toother persons.This also applies to a Dankort card on your mobile phone. See, however, Virtual card in digitalwallet with spending limit.4.2. Personalised security featureYour personalised security feature, for example your PIN, is personal and may be used onlyby you. You will automatically receive a PIN foryour card. When you receive your PIN, youmust check whether others may have had access to it.Memorise your PIN and subsequently destroythe letter. Do not keep your PIN with your cardor write it on your card. Also do not save thePIN on or together with your mobile phone.Visa/DankortIf you are unable to memorise your PIN or wantto keep evidence of it, you must store it in asafe place. If you need to write down your PIN,use the PIN memoriser that you have receivedfrom us or get one from one of our branches.If you suspect that others have had access toyour personalised security feature, please contact us immediately.5 Authorisation to use your accountIf you want another person to be able to useyour account for Visa/Dankort card transactions, that person must be authorised to operate your account and must have his or her owncard with his or her own personalised securityfeature/PIN. The cardholder is subject to thesame conditions as those you must observe.However, special conditions apply to Dankortcard on your mobile phone with spending limit.See clause 2.10.If you want to cancel the cardholder’s accessto your account, he or she must return thecard to us, and you must cancel the authorisation in writing.Page 6 of 216 Secure online paymentsVisa Secure and Dankort Secured by Nets offer extra protection against unauthorised useof card data in connection with online purchases.Visa Secure and Dankort Secured by Nets arenormally used when you shop online. In somecases, the merchant may have chosen not touse Visa Secure and Dankort Secured by Nets.In certain circumstances, Danske Bank is required to reject your payment if Visa Secure orDankort Secured by Nets has not been used.When you shop online with merchants usingDankort Secured by Nets, you will be asked toenter a one-time password, which you will receive from Nets by text message when youhave entered your card details, and a passwordcreated by you.Alternatively, you can use your NemID with theNemID code app to authorise the payment.Danske Bank, Holmens Kanal 2-12, DK-1092 København KTel. 45 70 12 34 56

This applies, for example, if your mobile number is not registered with us or your mobilenumber has changed (see clause 6.1).6.1 How to registerWhen you receive your new card, it will automatically be registered with Visa Secure andDankort Secured by Nets.Danske Bank A/S. CVR no. 61 12 62 28 – KøbenhavnDanske Bank will use the mobile number thatyou provided to us to send you the one-timepassword. If you change your mobile number,please update your information ondanskebank.dk/betalsikkert.If you have not registered your mobile numberwith us, you can also register it with Nets usingyour NemID.You must create your password on Nets' website at nets.eu/3ds. You log in using yourNemID or by requesting a one-time password,which will be sent to you by mail.Visa/Dankort6.2 Security – card, code and telephoneSince your mobile phone is an element of theadded protection offered by Dankort Securedby Nets or Visa Secure when you shop online,you must make sure that others do not haveand cannot get access to both your card andyour mobile phone. We therefore recommendthat you use a code to access your mobilephone.If you lose the mobile phone on which you receive one-time passwords, you mustchange/deregister the phone number asquickly as possible. If you also lose your card,you must block it (see clause 10).You must keep your code secret. If you thinkthat someone other than you knows your code,you must change it at nets.eu/3ds.7 Account entriesYou have an obligation to check the entries onyour account on a regular basis. If, when checking your account entries, you discover anytransactions that do not match your receipts,Page 7 of 21or that you believe that you have not made, youmust contact us as soon as possible. In thisconnection, you must be aware of the deadlinesstated in clauses 8 and 9.In connection with the regular checking of youraccount entries, you must be aware that whenyou use your card to make online purchases orpurchases by mail order or telephone order,the merchant may generally not debit theamount until the goods have been dispatched.When booking, for example, plane tickets orconcert tickets, the merchant will, however,debit the amount already when you book theflight or concert ticket.8 Reversal of authorised payments8.1 If you did not know the final amount whenauthorising a paymentIf you did not know the final amount when youauthorised the payment, and the amount subsequently debited to your account is considerably higher than you could reasonably expect,you may be entitled to a reversal of the payment. hire a car or check out of a hotel, where youhave authorised the merchant to debit yourcard, for example for refuelling the vehicle orrestocking the minibar. Danske Bank A/S. CVR no. 61 12 62 28 – KøbenhavnIf you believe that you are entitled to revoke apayment, you must contact us no later thaneight weeks after the amount was charged toyour account.8.2 Purchases online, by mail order and telephone order, etc.If you have used your card to buy goods or services online by mail or telephone order in other situations where the card is notread but where card data and the personalised security feature (for example one-timepassword, NemID or the like) was used tocomplete the transaction at self-service machines where your PIN isnot requiredyou may be entitled to have a payment reversed ifVisa/Dankortthe merchant has charged a larger amountto your card account than agreedthe goods or services ordered have notbeen deliveredyou exercise your statutory or agreed rightof cancellation before the goods or serviceshave been deliveredBefore contacting us, you should first try tosolve the problem with the merchant. You mustbe able to document that you have contactedor tried to contact the merchant.You must submit your dispute to us as soonpossible, and, if possible, not later than twoweeks after you discovered or should have discovered that one or more amounts had beenfraudulently debited to your account. When weassess whether you have contacted us in duetime, we attach importance to your duty to regularly check entries in your account (seeclause 7).your account. If your complaint subsequentlyproves to be unjustified, we will once againwithdraw the amount from your account.If we find your dispute unjustified, we are entitled to charge interest from the date theamount was deposited in your account to thedate it was withdrawn. We may also charge afee for ordering copies of relevant receipts(see the list of charges).These conditions apply irrespective of whetheryou have used your physical card, your card ina digital wallet or via a digital wallet.8.3 Revoking payments made in connectionwith distance marketing (such as online shopping)The situation may differ depending on whetherpayment was made with your Dankort or Visacard. 9 Reversal of unauthorised paymentsDanske Bank A/S. CVR no. 61 12 62 28 – KøbenhavnIf you believe that your Visa/Dankort card hasbeen used for one or more unauthorised payments, you must contact us as soon as possible.When we assess whether you have contactedus in due time, we attach importance to yourduty to regularly check entries in your account(see clause 7). In any case, you must contactus within 13 months of the amount havingbeen debited to your account.We will subsequently investigate your dispute.While your dispute is being investigated, thedisputed amount will normally be credited toyour account. If your complaint subsequentlyproves to be unjustified, we will once againwithdraw the amount from your account.If the investigation shows that there was unauthorised use of the card by other parties, wemay hold you liable for this (see clause 11).If we find your dispute unjustified, we are entitled to charge interest from the date on whichVisa/Dankortthe amount was deposited in your account tothe date on which it was withdrawn. We mayalso charge a fee for ordering copies of relevant receipts (see the list of charges).10 Your duty to block your cardCardYou must contact us as soon as possible tohave your card blocked if you lose your card someone else knows your personalised security feature, for example your PIN you discover unauthorised use of your card you suspect that your card has been copied you otherwise suspect that there is a risk ofunauthorised use of the cardIn Danske eBanking and Danske Mobile Banking, you can block your card immediately.If you do not have Danske eBanking or DanskeMobile Banking, please contact us on tel. 4570 20 70 20 (open 24 hours a day). When youcall, state your name and address and, if possible, your card and account number or CPRnumber.Page 9 of 21When a card has been blocked, you will be informed about why and when the card wasblocked.If you lose your card but find it again, you mustcontact us to find out what to do.Please note that if your card is blocked, youcannot use it in wallets.Cards in wallets As with the physical card, you must alsoblock your virtual card on your mobilephone if you lose your phone, or if you become aware of unauthorised use ofyour virtual card on your mobile phone, or you otherwise suspect that a card in yourwallet may have been used without your authorisation.You can block your card by calling us on tel. 45 70 123 456 (open 24 hours a day). When a virtual card in a digital wallet on yourmobile phone has been blocked, you will be informed of why and when the card was blocked.also used your personalised security feature,you may be liable to pay up to DKK 375 of thetotal loss.If your mobile phone with a blocked card isfound again, please contact us to agree onwhat you should do.In case of unauthorised use of more of yourcards with the same personalised security feature (for example the PIN) in connection withthe same incident, you may be liable to pay upto a total of DKK 375. It is a condition, however, that you block all cards at the same time.This applies to cards issued by Danske Bank.Danske Bank A/S. CVR no. 61 12 62 28 – KøbenhavnIf someone else finds out the PIN for your mobile phone or the digital wallets in which yourcard is registered, you must change the PINimmediately. Follow the instructions in yourdigital wallet and contact us for further information about what you should do.11 Your liability in case of unauthorised useIf your Visa/Dankort card has been subject tounauthorised use by another person, DanskeBank covers the loss unless the circumstancesof the loss fall within those listed in clause 11.In such cases, Danske Bank has the burden ofproof.In case of unauthorised use of yourVisa/Dankort card by another person who hasVisa/DankortYou must cover losses up to DKK 8,000 if yourVisa/Dankort card has been subject to unauthorised use by another person and your personalised security feature has been used, and you failed to notify us immediately after youdiscovered that your card or your mobilephone with the card in a digital wallet waslost or that another person had found outyour personalised security feature, or you knowingly disclosed your personalisedsecurity feature to the person who usedyour card without authorisation, while youdid not and could not be expected to realisePage 10 of 21 that there was a risk of unauthorised use,oryou made the card abuse possible throughgross negligence.Your total liability cannot exceed DKK 8,000.Your total liability is limited to DKK 8,000 iftwo or more of your cards for which you have asingle PIN have been used fraudulently in thesame incident. However, this requires that allcards with the same PIN are blocked at thesame time. This applies to cards issued byDanske Bank.You are liable for the full loss if your PIN hasbeen entered in connection with the unauthorised use of your card in the following circumstances: You willingly gave the personalised securityfeature information to the person who usedyour Visa/Dankort card without authorisationYou realised or should have realised thatthere was a risk of unauthorised use.Danske Bank, Holmens Kanal 2-12, DK-1092 København KTel. 45 70 12 34 56

You are also liable for the full loss if you havecommitted fraud or have deliberately failed tofulfil your obligations under these conditions.Your obligations include keeping your card andmobile phone safe, protecting your personalised security feature (for example, the PIN)(see clause 4), and blocking your card (seeclause 10).Danske Bank A/S. CVR no. 61 12 62 28 – KøbenhavnIf you have several cards with the same personalised security feature, the unlimited liability applies to each card which has been subjectto unauthorised use.You are not liable for losses arising after wehave been asked to block your card.Moreover, you are not liable for losses if youare unable to block your card because of conditions for which we are responsible.You are also not liable if the loss, the theft orthe unauthorised acquisition of the personalised security feature could not be detected byyou prior to the unauthorised use.Visa/DankortFurthermore, you are not liable for unauthorised use of the card if this is attributable to actions by Danske Bank’s employees, agents orbranches or by an entity to which DanskeBank’s activities has been outsourced or dueto such entity’s lack of action.Danske Bank’s liability for your loss is as stipulated in the Danish Payments Act (Lov om betalinger) if the payee knew or should haveknown that this was a case of unauthoriseduse of the card.Danske Bank is also liable as stipulated in theDanish Payments Act if you incur a loss as aconsequence of unauthorised use whereDanske Bank does not require use of a personalised security feature, unless you have actedfraudulently.You are only liable for loss resulting from otherpersons’ unauthorised use of the card if thetransaction is correctly recorded and enteredin the accounts of Danske Bank.Page 11 of 2112 Danske Bank’s rights and liability12.1 Notification to you in case of unauthorised use and security threatsWe contact you if we suspect or discover unauthorised use of the agreement. We also contactyou if we become aware of any potential securitythreats. We contact you in a safe way, for example by sending a message in Danske eBanking,Danske Netpost or e-Boks, by email or by telephone.12.2 Danske Bank’s right to block yourVisa/Dankort cardWe are entitled to block your Visa/Dankortcard if your card account is closed, or you violate these conditions, or your cardaccount shows an excess, or your Visa/Dankort card has been subject tounauthorised use or is suspected of havingbeen subject to unauthorised use by a thirdpartyDanske Bank, Holmens Kanal 2-12, DK-1092 København KTel. 45 70 12 34 56

we have not been able to perform knowyour-customer checks as required by Danish anti-money laundering legislationIn case of an excess, we will send you a writtenreminder before we block your card. Immediateblocking may be necessary, however, if the excess is substantial and/or if you have repeatedly overdrawn your account.Danske Bank A/S. CVR no. 61 12 62 28 – KøbenhavnWe may also demand that all cards issued forthe card account be returned.When we have blocked your Visa/Dankortcard, we will send you a letter stating the reason for and the time of the blocking.We may contact you by telephone or in anothersafe way, if we suspect that your card has beenused fraudulently or in the event of unauthorised use or security threats.Note that Danske Bank, shops, Nets and others will never ask you to state your NemID, PINor other personal security feature, such as aVisa/Dankortpassword for online purchases or a one-timepassword received by text message. 12.3 Card replacementWe are entitled to replace your card
