When orderingparts, we need that number to ensure the proper parts are given. Now withelectronic controls the ECM or computer for the engine is configured in sucha way as to properly operate the engine as designed with the options theunit has. If needed, it is possible to go through the process of configuring anECM by going through line by line. This task can take time and can bechallenging.
