How the Ansul R-102 System works:31ANSULEX Low pH liquid fire suppressantflows through the piping and isdischarged into the plenum and ductareas and onto the cooking appliances.When a fire occurs in a protected area, itis quickly sensed by detectors located inthe ductwork or cooking appliance hood.42The detectors trigger the ANSULAUTOMAN release mechanism whichactuates the system. pressurizing theagent storage tank and automaticallyshutting off appliance energy sources inthe event of a fire.The ANSULEX agent is applied directly onthe fire in specific spray patterns,suppressing the fire in seconds.
