YOGAMOTION TEACHER TRAININGMODULE FOUR: DAY 1q Fill out Critique Form for YogaMotion Module Fourq Record your DAILY personal Asana practice of 30 minutesq Record your Daily Meditation practice of 5 - 10 minutesq Create your Vision Board. Start the process. Take your time.VISUALIZE YOUR DREAMS AND WATCH THEM COME TRUEI love to create my Vision Boards. The last time did this, I was cutting things out in a more generalsense. And then realized, that as I am a very left brained personality, I was choosing more words than images. This caused me topause and invite myself to visualize, not define, what I wanted tosee for myself, which brings about more of a way of Being ratherthan Doing. The shift brought me more into my creative rightbrain, the true purpose of this project, and it became a lot morefun. What do I want to experience this year? I paused and askedthe question repeatedly. And then I found images that represented my desires. The key now is to let it flow and not be attached. At the veryleast, I know that the possibilities will move in the direction of my dreams. Whether they actuallyhappen in this time frame is unknown, as we do know that life is very unpredictable and it is best toremain flexible - enter the practice of Yoga. So, Dream on, my friends and have fun creating your Vision Board. One January I was creating my New Year Vision board and I had a vision of a journey to Africa for themonth of December - almost a whole year away. Now that’s looking ahead and that’s what is takes forme to believe in such an opportunity. So, I printed out photos of Africa, wrote to my friends that runan outfitting business there, drooled over photos of glamping in the wilds, and then, the very next day, received the news that the community in Tanzania was very excited to have me come teach Yoga therein December. The students and venue are waiting. “Oh my,” I thought, “This really works!”The details and connections for the trip began to unfold and as they did they became more complicated. After four months of research, preparations, and a little planning, I had a change in attitude.Leaving Bozeman for a month, along with the need to gather six others for a wild African safari, wasno longer feeling right. It was no longer flowing. It was evident that a shift was happening. And thenEbola virus broke out and I was even more confirmed that it was not the right time. Not this year. What I have learned about my own visions is they will manifest at the appropriate time. I cannot beattached. Yet, I stayed open to new possibilities and continued to dream and ended up in India for themonth instead. The Universe works in strange and wonderful ways. YogaMotion Bozeman, Montana. YOGAMOTION TEACHER TRAININGMODULE FOUR: DAY 1NEED A LITTLE NUDGE?If you find yourself resisting, doubting, orscoffing at this project, here are a few thingsto consider. How does it feel to know thatyou are responsible for the quality of yourlife? Are there any limiting beliefs holding you back from this simple Day Dreamproposition? Remember that this is meantto be fun. This is intended to awaken yourcreativity and imagination, and to encourageyou to allow for unlimited possibilities. Many people, when trying to manifest, focus too much on the outside form rather than theinternal condition. What’s important is our internal experience: whether we choose to experience love or fear. When we commit to our internal experience of love, we begin to attractmore love. Many people approach manifestation from a place of “How can I get something tofeel better?” Instead, the focus should be: “How can I feel better and therefore be an energeticmatch for attracting more greatness into my life?” The emphasis must be placed on healing theinternal condition, not getting a hot new car or boyfriend. So, if you’re thinking, I want to win a million dollars in the lottery so I can quit my job andmove to a tropical island sipping piña coladas then you better find out if you truly believe that’swhat your heart desires? Even though it sounds like fun, and it is something that the Americanimage promotes - just look at all those beer commercials for men - is that REALLY how you seeyourself living in your highest capacity? My guess is probably not. So, have fun with some fantasies, and then return to your heart and ask how you really want to BE - from the inside out. What the gifts you have been given to bring forth in this world? What activities, opportunitieswill support your heart’s longing to live an authentic and purpseful life? My advice. keep itsimple. Keep it real. Keep it fun!Let the thought inform the feeling and let the feeling take over your energy. The more youfeel the feeling of what you desire, the more you believe it is on the way. From a metaphysicalperspective, if you believe it then it is already here. So make time for contemplating, thinking, feeling, and believing. Also, trust that the Universe has a much better plan than you do. Thoughyou are clear about what you want, you cannot control the timing or the form in which it comes.Stay calm, relax, and trust that the Universe has your back! YogaMotion Bozeman, Montana. YOGAMOTION TEACHER TRAININGMODULE FOUR: DAY 2q Record your DAILY personal asana and meditation practicesq Schedule in some time to do Nothing. Record your results.FOLLOW YOUR HEARTFocusing on our heart encourages us to live our most authentic life. One that truly representsour own unique beliefs and gifts. The challenge is to quiet the mind down enough in order tohear the still, small voice of wisdom that lies in the heart. In our busy lives, the heart is easily covered with the distractions of all that we do and all thatwe think we should be doing. So, today, schedule in some time over the next few weeks torest and allow your evening or an entire day to unfold moment by moment. That’s right, anappointment for doing nothing. No agenda, no attachments or distractions. Let yourself be ina state of spontaneous enjoyment. Wipe your slate clean of the to-do lists, turn off technology, maybe even turn off all the unnecessary electricity, and gift yourself some time, either alone orwith loved ones, to be immersed in a spontaneous wave of unfolding experiences. Do this forone night and then do this for an entire day. Let me know how it goes.“It’s impossible,”said pride.“It’s risky,”said experience.“It’s pointless,”said reason.“Give it a try,”whispered the heart. YogaMotion Bozeman, Montana. Proprietary material. YOGAMOTION TEACHER TRAININGMODULE FOUR: DAY 2FOLLOW YOUR HEARTHere are some simple ways to create space for your Self in your life:1. Schedule a Nothing Night. Date:One night, plan on doing nothing. Don’t watch a movie or your favorite TV show. Don’t makephone calls. Don’t clean the house. Instead, do what you normally don’t have the time to do:take a long bath, practice restorative yoga, meditate, write in your journal, read or write poetry, read an inspiring book, make a vision board. What did you do? How did you feel?2. Schedule a Nothing Day. Date:Schedule one day where you allow life to unfold moment by moment doing whatever yourheart desires. Sleep in. Eat breakfast in bed. Take the dance class or go for the hike or the skiyou’ve been thinking about. Build forts and play games with your children. Get on the couchand read a book all day. Allow the day to replenish you as you trust in the Divine unfolding oflife, moment by moment. (no TV, no news, no to-dos) What did you do? How did you feel?3. Practice Discernment. Each day, before each thing you do, ask yourself, does this action support the greatest vision Ihold for my life? Does it support my health and happiness? If not, how can I shift this or whatcan I choose that would? If I can’t change what I’m doing, how can I make it more enjoyable? YogaMotion Bozeman, Montana. Proprietary material. YOGAMOTION TEACHER TRAININGMODULE FOUR: DAY 3 INTENTIONq Record your DAILY personal practice of asana and meditationq Choose a Yoga Sutra to unpack and integrate into your daily practice and daily life.INTEGRATING THE ESSENCE OF YOGASetting the theme or having an intention for our formal practice – asana, pranayama, ormeditation – is a way of infusing the essence of Yoga into our experience. Our personal practice, alone or in a group setting, is a time for contemplation, observation, and/or dedicationto a particular attitude, understanding, or relationship within ourselves or with others. We have touched on a plethora of physical and philosophical systems that become moreintegrated into our own understanding when we invite them into our mindful awarenesson or off the mat.Now it’s time to choose a Sutra from the first book, Samadhi Pada, that resonates withyour own heart. Perhaps one that supports your dreams and/or your working intention.Let this Sutra permeate your
