Reynolds Tobacco Company. WhileR.J. Reynolds remains one of our biggest employee groups, Allegacy hasexpanded its membership in the past two decades to include groups likeWake Forest Baptist Health, Novant, Presbyterian Healthcare and WakeForest University. Today, Allegacy ranks among the 100 largest creditunions in the U.S. and proudly serves the employees, retirees andfamilies of more than 600 companies across the country.

We are deeply passionate about our charitable fundraising and volunteer efforts,which include being a presenting co-sponsor of the Susan G. Komen NC Triad Race for the Cure every year since 2000.We have experienced the pain of losing loved ones, friends and cherished coworkers to cancer. Betweenour longstanding involvement with the Susan G. Komen NC Triad Race for the Cure and being a foundingsponsor of the annual “Don’t Wait” Golf Tournament, which benefits Cancer Services, Inc., Allegacy andits employees have donated more than 1.3 million to the fight against breast and ovarian cancers.In recent years, Allegacy as an organization, along with its employees, has raised almost 200,000for other charitable organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters and Juvenile Diabetes ResearchFoundation. In addition, Allegacy has participated in ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition andprovided scholarships for a family in need.

CHARITABLE MILESTONESIn 1999, sponsored the 1st Annual Don’t Wait (DW) Benefit Golf Tournament.In 2001, 2002, and 2005, received the NC Credit Union League’s DoraMaxwell Social Responsibility Award.In 2006, honored with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation’scoveted Jill Ireland Award for Volunteerism.In 2009, hosted the 10th Annual DW Benefit Golf Tournament and raiseda total of more than 475,000 in donations to Cancer Services, Inc. to date.In 2011, celebrated our eleventh year as a presenting co-sponsor of theSusan G. Komen NC Triad Race for the Cure and raised a total of morethan 650,000 in donations to Susan G. Komen for the Cure to date.In 2011, honored with the Outstanding Philanthropic Non-ProfitCorporation award by the Association of Fundraising Professionals,NC Triad Chapter.
