MENTAL HEALTH &ADDICTION FUNDWhy Mental Health and Addiction?Our community suffers from a growing mental health and addiction crisis and AllinaHealth is positioned to respond to this urgent need!Mental illness surpasses all other illnesses as the leading cause of adult disability, and wecontinue to see an increase in deaths related to mental illness and addiction.A mental health diagnosis or addiction negatively affects people's lives in countless ways,including employment, family relationships, finances and morbidity. At the same time,these diseases are treatable.The current situation:This data, and the patients behind the numbers, speak to the pressing need to addresscritical mental health and addiction care that affects our families, friend and neighbors inprofound and sometimes devastating ways.

We are already a leader in mental health and addiction care:Allina Health serves some of our community's most vulnerable and medically under-servedresidents by providing affordable, high-quality care. We are Minnesota's #1 provider inmental health care, treating nearly 72,000 people with identified substance abusedisorders, and 1,000 new patients a year diagnosed after a first episode of psychosis. Yet,there is much more to be done! Our Vision: For those living with mental health and addiction, help make theirchallenges smaller by identifying needs sooner for earlier interventions and care.Will you help?You can make a difference! Your gift of a personally meaningful amount will support: Expanding Integrated Addiction Services throughout Primary Care to meet the needof thousands more people annually. Funding additional Tele-Addiction providers and training to serve 600 additionalpeople annually.
