From the Pastor’s Desk2This weekend we will be commissioning the EMCs (Extraordinary Ministers of Communion) ateach Mass. I am thankful that we have so many people to bring communion to the homebound and thehospital/rest home bound. A big thanks to all who do this service, which brings our absent parishionersthe Eucharist and keeps us in touch with them. This is truly a work of mercy – thank you!We have a series of fundraisers for our youth coming up. These make possible summer trips to 1)Steubenville Retreat (in Springfield, MO), 2) the One Bread One Cup experience, and 3) Camps Savio andBosco. The fund raisers are:2/24 (next week) Biscuits and Gravy on Sunday3/24 Youth Group Pancake Breakfast5/12 Mother’s Day RosesLent brings with it our annual fundraisers for the Knights of Columbus:3/3 KofC Ladies Auxiliary Mardi Gras Brunch3/8 Fish Fry for the KofC3/15 Fish Fry by KofC for the Special Olympics3/29 Fish Fry for the KofC4/12 Fish Fry by KofC for Camp QualityEaster does not come until April 21, so Lent is still 2.5 weeks away. The gifts that the children bring up do not have to be money.
