Quality Enhancement PlanI. Definition: Each institution seeking reaffirmation of Accreditation is required to develop aQuality Enhancement Plan (QEP). Engaging the wider academic community and addressing oneor more issues that contribute to institutional improvement, the plan should be focused, succinct,and limited in length. The QEP describes a carefully designed and focused course of action thataddresses a well-defined topic or issue(s) related to enhancing student learning.II. Characteristics: according to SACSCOC guidelines, the QEP should:1) Have clearly defined student learning outcomes;2) Emerge from an institutional process that identifies key issues identified frominstitutional assessment;3) Be congruent with Florida Southern’s Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan;4) Be capable of being assessed;5) Be capable of being implemented based on the resources of the College;6) Not be narrowly targeted toward a small or isolated subset of the Florida SouthernCollege students;7) Not be an initiative that is already full implemented;8) Have the support of students, faculty, and other stakeholder groups that may beinvolved in its implementation.III.
