The meet will broadcast live on SEC Network withBart Conner (pxp), Kathy Johnson Clarke (analyst) and Laura Rutledge (reporter) on the call. Alabama is 6-1 overall and4-1 against the SEC under the direction of first-year coach Dana Duckworth. Both teams rank inside the Top 10 in all fourevents entering the contest and have several gymnasts ranked. Rheagan Courville, Ashleigh Gnat, Lloimincia Hall andJessie Jordan are all ranked for LSU, and Lauren Beers, Kaitlyn Clark, Keely McNeer, Carley Sims and Kayla Williams areranked for Alabama. The Tigers are 6-1 away from Baton Rouge this season, including 2-0 in SEC opponents’ venues. LSUwill try to wrap up a perfect 6-0 SEC regular season record for the first time in program history, but winning in Tuscaloosahas proven to be a tall task for the Tigers. Regardless of a win or loss, a high score could continue to boost LSU’s regionalqualifying score (RQS). The Tigers currently carry the 196.600 at Kentucky in the RQS, and a high score against Alabamacould go a long way toward keeping LSU near the top of the rankings.STORYLINES L SU is looking to go 6-0 againstSEC competition in the regularseason for the first time in programhistory. LSU has won 11 straight home meets dating back to the 2013 season. As a senior this season she has tied the second-best all-around total in school history at 39.825 against Georgia. As a junior in 2014, Courville won her second NCAA national title on vault, earned eight All-America honors and finishedthe season ranked No. 2 nationally in the all-around. As a sophomore in 2013, Courville led the nation with nine all-around titles during the year, and she capped the seasonby winning the NCAA vault national title, becoming LSU’s sixth national champion gymnast. Jordan scored a 39.550 in the opener against Iowa, a total that led the nation after the first week of the season. J ordan and Courville (who ranked 3rd) were both ranked in the Top 5 of the first all-around rankings for the secondstraight year. Last season, Courville was No. 1 and Jordan was No. 3 after the 2014 season opener.Jordan Wins Back-To-Back SEC Gymnast of the Week Honors L SU senior Jessie Jordan won SEC Gymnast of the Week after her stellar performance against Iowa and again after theKentucky/Arizona State meet. A gainst Iowa, Jordan posted a 39.550 all-around total that led the country after the first week of competition. She wasalso the only gymnast around the nation to earn at least three scores of 9.90 or better in one meet. A t Kentucky, Jordan tallied a 39.525 all-around that ranked as the SEC’s best all-around score that week. She also won thevault and beam titles to give her six total titles through two meets. Jordan has been SEC Gymnast of the Week three times in her career. She also won it after the Missouri meet last season.Erin Macadaeg Earned SEC Specialist of the Week After Performance Against Georgia L SU freshman Erin Macadaeg was named the SEC Specialist of the Week after her fantastic performance against Georgiaon Feb. 6. M acadaeg competed on beam and tied for the event title with a career-high 9.95.
