3.NISSAN Electric Vehicle PAN European Warranty InformationNISSAN International SA issues a warranty for each new NISSAN Electric Vehicle (EV) sold registered and operated in European countries where authorisedNISSAN EV Dealers are located. Within the relevant period of time and mileage specified on the Warranty Certificate at the front of this booklet, anauthorised NISSAN EV Dealer will repair or replace free of charge those parts or components which are covered by the section’s description and whichprove defective in materials or workmanship. Parts which are excluded from warranty are listed in section 4.10 below the header “What is not covered”.The method of repairing or replacing is to be determined by the NISSAN EV Dealer. NISSAN Pan European Warranty does not affect the statutory rightsof the purchaser and comes in addition to any other provisions the purchaser may have under the contract of sale.3.1 Basic Vehicle Warranty3.3 Towing Warranty3.5 Relocation of VehicleThe Basic Vehicle Warranty covers all parts and components not covered by the EV System Warranty of eachnew NISSAN EV supplied by NISSAN which prove defective in materials or workmanship. The Basic VehicleWarranty is valid for the period of time and mileagespecified on the Warranty Certificate at the front ofthis booklet.During the Basic Vehicle Warranty, if your vehiclebecomes inoperative due to a warrantable defect in acountry not covered by NISSAN Assistance, repair on thespot or towing service, when necessary, to the nearestauthorised NISSAN Dealer or recharge point is covered.3.2 Electric Vehicle (EV) SystemWarrantyBasic ServiceDuring the Basic Vehicle Warranty, if your NISSANEV becomes inoperative due to a (non) warrantabledefect or accident in a country covered by NISSANAssistance a rescue vehicle will be sent to your location.If your NISSAN EV cannot be repaired on the spot it willbe towed to the nearest authorised NISSAN EV Dealeror recharge point.Your NISSAN EV is manufactured to meet the regulationsand environmental requirements of the country wheresuch NISSAN vehicles are originally sold. In case yourelocate it to another European country, your NISSANvehicle may not comply with the regulations andenvironmental requirements of that country.Please note that NISSAN EV is not launched in allEuropean countries. If you relocate your NISSAN EV to aEuropean country where the NISSAN EV is not sold therewill be no authorized NISSAN EV DEALER in that market.In case you need warranty work to be done on yourNISSAN EV, or in case you wish to have the authorizedNISSAN EV DEALER carry out repairs on your NISSAN EV,you will need to bring your NISSAN EV to a market wherethe NISSAN EV is launched as this is the only place whereauthorized NISSAN EV DEALER are located, (see 3.6 EVEuropean Countries).The Electric Vehicle (EV) System Warranty covers all EVparts and components of each new NISSAN EV suppliedby NISSAN which prove defective in materials orworkmanship. Charge connector & cable3.4 NISSAN AssistanceAdditional BenefitsIf, after your NISSAN EV has been towed to the nearestauthorised NISSAN Dealer, it cannot be repaired in thesame day, NISSAN Assistance service will provide anadditional benefit. NISSAN Assistance service will payfor the continuation of the trip or return home, hotelaccommodation or a replacement car up to a certainmaximum. In case Repairon the spot is not possible, the vehicle is towed to thelocal NISSAN dealer or to a local workshop if no NISSANdealer is located there.3.7 Paint WarrantyThe Paint Warranty covers painted body parts (excludingthe under body) which suffer from paint defects as aresult of defective materials or workmanship.The period for the Paint Warranty is valid for the periodof time and mileage specified on the Warranty Certificateat the front of this booklet.3.8 Perforation from CorrosionWarrantyThe Perforation from Corrosion Warranty covers bodysheet metal panels which suffer from inside-to-outsideperforation from corrosion as a result of defective materials or workmanship. The period for the Perforationfrom Corrosion Warranty is specified on the WarrantyCertificate at the front of this booklet.6This warranty requires that the vehicle is inspectedaccording to the yearly inspection reports displayed inthis booklet, and repaired if necessary, by an authorisedNISSAN EV Dealer.3.9 Genuine Parts and AccessoriesWarrantyNISSAN International SA issues a warranty for all NISSANgenuine parts and accessories installed on a NISSANEV by an authorised NISSAN EV dealer from defects inmaterial or workmanship for a duration of 1 year fromthe date of installation, regardless of mileage driven. Toexercise his right to this warranty, the customer mustprovide evidence of the part installation date by meansof the invoice and/or the warranty repair order.When the vehicle on which the part is installed is cov ered by NISSAN Electric Vehicle Pan European Warranty,the part warranty will cease with the NISSAN ElectricVehicle PAN European Warranty. A Parts Warranty repaircannot be used to prolong the total warranty period ofthe vehicle.Warranty on genuine parts and accessories purchased“over the counter” by the customer is warranted for aperiod of 1 year from the date of purchase. The customermust provide evidence of the purchase date by meansof the sales invoice.3.10 Electric Vehicle Battery (Li-ION)Capacity CoverageIn addition to the Electric Vehicle Battery (Li-Ion)Coverage for defects in materials or workmanship, theElectric Vehicle Battery (Li-Ion) is also warranted againstcapacity loss below nine bars of capacity as shown onthe vehicle’s battery capacity level gauge for a certainperiod depending on the vehicle battery specification:- 4 0kWh battery: 96 months or 100,000 miles(160,000 km), whichever comes first.This warranty covers any repairs needed to return thebattery capacity to a level of nine bars or above on thevehicle’s battery capacity level gauge. This ElectricVehicle Battery (Li-Ion) Capacity Coverage is subjectto the exclusions listed under the heading “WHAT ISNOT COVERED.”

4.THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT NISSAN Electric Vehicle PAN EUROPEWARRANTY4.1 Tyres4.4 Pre-Delivery InspectionTyres, even when originally installed on new NISSANvehicles, are warranted by the tyre manufacturer. Anauthorised NISSAN Dealer will assist you in making awarranty claim for tyres if necessary.To make sure you will be completely satisfied withyour new NISSAN EV from the very start, it has beeninspected thoroughly and prepared before deliveryaccording to NISSAN’s New Vehicle Pre-DeliveryInspection Procedure.4.2 12V BatteryThe 12V battery is warranted under the Basic VehicleWarranty.4.3 EV Battery (Li-ION Battery)The EV battery is warranted under Electric Vehicle (EV)System Warranty policy. During vehicle usage the battery will discharge. If the battery charge drops belowa minimum value the Power Limitation Indicator lamp(see Owner’s Manual) will illuminate and the batterywill need to be charged as soon as possible. ThePower Limitation Indicator lamp does not indicate awarrantable defect with the Li-ion battery but merelyindicates a greatly reduced level of charge. If the PowerLimitation Indicator remains illuminated after chargingis complete contact your nearest authorised EV Dealer.If a malfunction in the EV battery is detected, the EVSystem Warning Light is illuminated (see your Owner’sManual). It is recommended to contact an authorisedNISSAN EV Dealer as soon as possible to have your EVinspected and if necessary, repaired.4.5 Periodic Maintenance ServiceThe periodic maintenance services are a minimumrequirement for warranty. They should be performedin accordance with the NISSAN recommended maintenance schedule. Additional maintenance service maybe required since weather and atmospheric conditions,varying roads, vehicle usage and individual drivinghabits greatly influence the need for such service.4.6 EV DealerIt is recommended that periodic maintenance isperformed by an authorised NISSAN EV Dealer. Toensure your NISSAN EV can be serviced or repairedat an authorised NISSAN EV Dealer whilst travellingoutside your home country please contact your nearestauthorised NISSAN EV Dealer or your National SalesCompany.4.7 Genuine NISSAN Parts andAccessoriesGenuine NISSAN parts and accessories are designedby or for NISSAN for use on NISSAN vehicles. Usinggenuine NISSAN parts and accessories is recommendedfor safe driving and lower overall running cost. Onlygenuine NISSAN parts and accessories are coveredby NISSAN’s Genuine Parts and Accessories Warranty.4.8 Warranty Service in ForeignCountriesNISSAN Electric Vehicle Pan European Warranty is validin European countries where authorised NISSAN EVDealers are located (see Section 3.6 for details). TheWarranty Booklet must be presented to an authorisedNISSAN EV Dealer when a warranty repair is necessary,at home and abroad. Therefore it is essential that theWarranty Booklet is kept in your vehicle wherever itgoes. Instructions to foreign dealers in several languages, see section 6, may be useful when needing awarranty repair abroad. If you visit or relocate your EVto another European country without an authorisedNISSAN EV Dealer, you will not be able to receive warranty or maintenance services in that country. Pleasecontact the nearest authorised NISSAN EV Dealerwho will be able to advise you how to obtain warrantyservice.If the Li-ion battery is covered by a lease scheme thewarranty and repair procedure for the Li-ion batteryexclusively is governed by the lessor contract. Pleaserefer to your lease scheme documentation for detailson the Li-ion battery lease scheme warranty and repairprocedure.7

4.9 Design ChangeNISSAN has the right at any time to make changes to thedesign or specifications of any NISSAN vehicle withoutnotice and without any obligation to make such changeson vehicles that have been sold in the past.4.10 What is Not Covered1. Tyres are covered by the tyre manufacturer’s warranty, see section 4.1 for details.2. Any non-genuine NISSAN parts, accessories orequipment.3. Any parts and labour cost incurred in connectionwith required or recommended maintenance servicesuch as, but not restricted to, wheel balancing andalignment, headlight aiming, replacement of lightbulbs, brake discs/drums, brake shoes, brake pads,filters, wiper blades, fluids or lubricants.4. Damage, failures or corrosion resulting from: M isuse, accident, theft, arson or intentionaldamage; Industrial fall-out, acid or alkali contamination,stone chipping, chemical fall-out, tree sap, birddroppings, salt, hail, windstorm, lightning orother environmental conditions; Failure to follow the relevant guidelines given inthe Owner’s Manual and under the caption “whatyou must do” in this booklet; Failure to have the vehicle repaired at the earliestopportunity after a defect has become apparent; Lack of proper maintenance services as outlinedin this Warranty Booklet and/or your Owner’sManual; Alteration, modification or improper repair; Repairs not performed by an authorised NISSANEV Dealer;8 U se of non-genuine parts, accessories orequipment; Use of improper or dirty, fluids or lubricants.Additionally, damage or failures to the Li-ion batteryresulting from or caused by: Exposing a vehicle to ambient temperatures above120F (50 C) for over 24 hours. Storing a vehicle in temperatures below -13F (-25 C) for over seven days. Leaving your vehicle for over 14 days where theLi-ion battery reaches a zero or near zero state ofcharge. Physically damaging the Li-ion battery or intentionally attempting to reduce the life of thebattery. Exposing the Li-ion battery to contact with a directflame. Charging the Li-ion battery full on a daily basisdespite the battery keeping a high state of chargelevel (98-100%). Immersing any portion of the Li-ion battery inwater or fluids. Opening the Li-ion battery enclosure or having itserviced by a non EV certified technician. Neglecting to follow correct charging procedures. Use of Incompatible charging devices. Consequential damage caused by the failure torepair an existing problem.5. Normal deterioration of trim, paint or other cosmeticitems.6. Any vehicle on which the odometer has been alteredor replaced so that the reading does not correspondwith the actual mileage of the vehicle, withoutofficial registration on the Speedometer changecertificate (located in the rear of this booklet), oron which the Vehicle Identification Number and/orMotor Number have been altered or removed.7. Incidental or consequential damages such as lossof use of the vehicle, inconvenience or commercialloss.8. GRADUAL CAPACITY LOSSThe Lithium-ion battery (Electric Vehicle Battery),like all lithium-ion batteries, will experiencegradual capacity loss with time and use. Loss ofbattery capacity due to or resulting from gradualcapacity loss is NOT covered under this warrantybeyond the terms and limits specified in theELECTRIC VEHICLE BATTERY (LI-ION) CAPACITYCOVERAGE above. See OWNER’S MANUAL forimportant tips on how to maximize the life andcapacity of the “Lithium-ion battery.”4.11 What we will doAll warrantable defects will be repaired by an authorised NISSAN EV Dealer at no charge to the customerfor labour or parts within the limitations set out in thisWarranty Booklet.4.12 What you must do1. Properly use, maintain and care for your vehicle asoutlined in this Warranty Booklet and your Owner’sManual.2. Take the vehicle to an authorised NISSAN EVDealer’s place of business during regular businesshours at your expense in order to obtain warrantyservice.3. Check for trim, paint or other cosmetic defects atthe time the new vehicle is delivered and report thesame to your selling dealer without delay.4. Retain maintenance service records in the eventa question should arise concerning the vehicle’s maintenance. As for the Genuine Parts andAccessories Warranty, keep relevant documentsand invoices of all parts installations.

5. As for the Paint Warranty and the Perforation fromCorrosion Warranty, the following things must bedone additionally: Carefully read vehicle care and maintenanceinstructions given in the Owner’s Manual; Have the annual paint inspection carried out anddocumented in section 9; Wash and wax the vehicle regularly; remove salt,sand, ice melting agents, road and oil tar, treesap, bird droppings and other potentially harmfulmaterials immediately when they are found sticking to the vehicle; Promptly repair any damage to the surface finishof the vehicle at your own expense.9

5.NISSAN AssistanceDuring New Vehicle Warranty you are entitled to NISSAN ASSISTANCE 24 hours a day, all year round, Sundays and public holidays included.NISSAN ASSISTANCE is provided by a Nissan Europe partner and is available in the following countries:Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France*, Germany, Greece,Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland,Portugal, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Vatican City.* excluding: French overseas territoriesIf the breakdown occurs in an enclave or on an island belonging to one of the countries listed above you are eligible for Basic Service only. In case Repair on the spot is notpossible, the vehicle is towed to the local Nissan (EV) dealer or to a local workshop if no Nissan (EV) dealer is located there.5.1 Basic Service5.2 Additional ServiceIf your vehicle becomes immobilized due to awarrantable incident, non-warrantable incident oraccident, you can call the telephone number printedon the Warranty Certificate. The first objective is toidentify the possibility to solve the problem throughtelephone instructions. If Phone Fix is not possible youare entitled to one of the two following Basic Services:If your vehicle is towed to a Nissan EV dealer and cannotbe repaired the same day, you are entitled to one of thefour following Additional Services.1. Repair on the spot2. Towing to the Nissan EV dealerThe first objective is to repair your vehicle on the spot,if that is not possible your vehicle will be towed to aNissan EV dealer or recharge point/home address (incase of empty Li-ion battery). You can choose the NissanEV dealer or recharge point/ home address if these arelocated within 50 km of the place of the breakdown. Ifthat distance is more than 50 km your vehicle is towedto the nearest Nissan EV dealer or recharge point.101. Journey continuation:To start or continue the journey or to return homefor driver and passengers and returning to thedealer to retrieve the repaired vehicle for thedriver (or a person selected by the driver).- train / ship (1st class)- taxi up to 50 km- plane, if train journey is more than 8 hours(economy class)- public transportCombinations of the above are possible. The costof local transport between the dealer where thevehicle can be repaired and the station, airport,hotel, Rental Company is covered.2. Replacement vehicle:Until the vehicle is repaired with a maximumof three working days with unlimited mileage.When the vehicle has to be towed to a LiB RepairCentre you are entitled to an additional 3 workingdays. Fuel and toll charges are at the user’sexpense. In case of a Rental vehicle a depositmay be required. The replacement vehicle will bea segment C vehicle. A replacement vehicle maynot be used for commercial activities (such asbusiness continuation).3. Accommodation:If the breakdown occurred more than 50 km fromhome and if you would like to wait for repair ofthe vehicle. Until the vehicle is repaired with amaximum of three working days in a 3 star hotelincluding breakfast for driver and passengers.4. Repatriation:If following a breakdown abroad the vehiclecannot be repaired within 3 working days afterit arrived at the Nissan EV dealer, repatriationof the vehicle / driver / passengers / luggagecan be arranged if necessary. In that case therepatriation should be arranged within 4 workingdays after the vehicle arrived at the Nissan EVdealer. If it cannot be foreseen within one daythat a vehicle cannot be repaired within 3 working

days Repatriation can be combined with one ofthe three services mentioned above if necessary.5.3 Lifetime NISSAN ASSISTANCEIf you have your vehicle serviced at a Nissan EV dealer,you will benefit from NISSAN Assistance until your nextscheduled maintenance. Therefore you will continueto benefit from the same cover as described in theChapters above. For more information please contactyour nearest Nissan EV dealer.5.4 Battery Lease SchemeIf the Li-ion battery is covered by a lease scheme thewarranty and repair procedure for the Li-ion batteryexclusively is governed by the lessor contract. Pleaserefer to your lease scheme documentation for detailson the Li-ion battery lease scheme warranty and repairprocedure.5.6 LimitationsNISSAN ASSISTANCE will not cover:- incidents that occur off-road- incidents caused by force majeure- incidents that occur during participation incompetitions, rallies and races- cargo damages, physical injuries or loss of income asa result of an immobilization- incidents caused by intentional action or extreme lackof care from the driver or passengers- c osts the customer would normally have whentravelling, insurances, tolls, parking fees, meals, etc.(Nissan EV dealer Entity authorized to sell or repairNissan Electric Vehicles) (Recharge point Anysuitable energy source and plug where the customercan recharge the vehicle) (Nissan LiB Repair Centre Nissan EV dealer authorized to repair Li-ion battery)5.5 Fair Usage Clause No/Low Li-IONBattery ChargeDuring the NISSAN Assistance entitlement period thenumber of NISSAN Assistance services due to no orlow Li-ion battery charge are depending on fair usageof the vehicle:A - In case of repeated non-starts with plausible causesNISSAN Assistance services will be provided.B - In case of repeated non-starts (by same driver)without plausible causes no NISSAN Assistanceservices will be provided.The NISSAN Assistance provider will be able to makea fair judgment based on best practice experience.11
