Your Legal Rights under FCAInternational Operations LimitedWarrantiesThe warranties contained in this booklet are the onlyexpress warranties that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V.(“FCA International Operations”) makes for your vehicle.FCA International Operations makes no representation anddisclaims any responsibility or liability with regard to thevehicle’s suitability for its intended use by you or any otheruser.These warranties give you specific legal rights. You may alsohave other legal rights under applicable law in your country.For example, you may have some implied warranties,depending on the country where your vehicle was sold or isregistered.These implied warranties are limited, to the extent allowedby law, to the time periods covered by the express writtenwarranties contained in this booklet.If you use your vehicle primarily for business or commercialpurposes, then these implied warranties do not apply andFCA International Operations completely disclaims themto the extent allowed by law. And the implied warranty offitness for a particular purpose does not apply if your vehicleis used for racing, even if the vehicle is equipped for racing.1.1.Incidental and Consequential DamagesYour warranties don’t cover any incidental orconsequential damages connected with your vehicle’sfailure, either while under warranty or afterward.Examples of such damages include: lost time;inconvenience;the loss of the use of your vehicle;the cost of rental vehicles, gasoline, telephone,travel, or lodging; the loss of personal or commercial property; and the loss of revenue.Some countries do not allow incidental or consequentialdamages to be excluded or limited, so this exclusion maynot apply to you.6

WHAT IS COVERED UNDER FCA INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS LIMITED WARRANTIES2. What Is Covered Under FCAInternational Operations LimitedWarranties2.1.Basic Limited WarrantyA. Who Is Covered?You are covered by the Basic Limited Warranty ifyou are a purchaser for personal use of the vehicle.B. What Is Covered?The Basic Limited Warranty covers the costof all parts and labor needed to repair anydefective item on your vehicle supplied by FCAInternational Operations that is defective in material,workmanship or factory preparation, subject to theexclusions and limitations set forth in this booklet.These warranty repairs or adjustment, includingall parts and labor connected with them will bemade by an authorized Chrysler, Dodge or Jeeprepairer (hereinafter referred to as “Authorized7Repairer”) at no charge, using new, reconditioned,or remanufactured parts depending on the partinvolved and approved by an Authorized Repairer.C. General RequirementsThe Basic Limited Warranty covers your vehicleonly if it has been operated and maintained in themanner described in the vehicle warranty booklet,and the maintenance service is performed by anAuthorized repairer, except for emergency repairsthat could not have been reasonably performed byan Authorized Repairer.D. Items Covered by Other WarrantiesThe following are covered by separate warrantiesoffered by their makers. They are not covered by theBasic Limited Warranty:

WHAT IS COVERED UNDER FCA INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS LIMITED WARRANTIES tires; un-wired headphones; or items added or changed after your vehicle leftFCA International Operations manufacturingplant, such as accessories or protectionproducts, or items changed because ofcustomization or van conversion.Be sure you get a copy of any warranty that appliesto these items from your dealer, or from the makerof the product. You can find the tire and un-wiredheadphone warranty statements in your Owner’sLiterature Package.E. When It BeginsThe Basic Limited Warranty begins on either of thefollowing dates, whichever is earlier: the date you take delivery of the vehicle; or the date when the vehicle was first put intoservice — for example, as a dealer “demo” oras a FCA International Operations companyvehicle.F. When It EndsThe Basic Limited Warranty lasts for 36 monthsor 60,000 kilometers on the odometer, whicheveroccurs first. But the following items are coveredonly for 12 months or for 20,000 kilometers on theodometer, whichever occurs first: brakes (rotors, pads, linings, and drums); wiper blades; clutch discs or modular clutch assembly (asequipped); windshield, side glass and rear window; and wheel alignment and wheel balancingG. Registration and Operation RequirementsThe Basic Limited Warranty covers your vehicle onlyif: It is operated and maintained in the mannerdescribed in this warranty booklet.8

WHAT IS COVERED UNDER FCA INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS LIMITED WARRANTIES2.2.Corrosion WarrantyA. Description of CoverageThe corrosion warranty starts when the BasicLimited Warranty begins under section 2.1E.The corrosion warranty is valid, until the firstregular maintenance service is due, as specifiedin this warranty booklet. It is renewed with everymaintenance service performed by an AuthorizedRepairer and then valid until the next regularmaintenance service is due as set forth below.B. Who Is Covered?You are covered if you are a purchaser for personaluse of the vehicle.C. What Is CoveredThis warranty covers the cost of all parts and laborneeded to repair or replace any sheet metal panelsthat get holes from rust or other corrosion. If a holeoccurs because of something other than corrosion,this warranty does not apply. Cosmetic or surfacecorrosion — resulting, for example, from stone chips9or scratches in the paint — is not covered. For moredetails on what isn’t covered by this warranty, seesection 3.5.D. How Long It LastsThis warranty starts when your Basic LimitedWarranty begins under 2.1.E.For all panels, the limit is 36 months with noodometer limit, from the date it begins.2.3.Jeep Wrangler Battery WarrantyIf your vehicle is a Jeep Wrangler assembled in Egypt,the battery is covered only for 12 months with noodometer limit, when it begins under 2.1.E.

Some Modifications Do Not Void theWarranties But Are Not CoveredCertain changes that you might make to yourvehicle do not, by themselves, void the warrantiesdescribed in this booklet. Examples of some ofthese changes are: installing non-FCA International Operationsparts, components, or equipment (such asa non-FCA International Operations radio orspeed control); and using special non-FCA InternationalOperations materials or additives.or use of non-FCA International Operations parts,components, equipment, materials, or additives.Performance or racing parts are considered to benon-FCA International Operations parts. Repairs oradjustments caused by their use are not coveredunder your warranties.Examples of the types of alterations not coveredare: installing accessories — except for genuineFCA International Operations / MOPARaccessories installed by Authorized Repairer; applying rust proofing or other protectionproducts; or using any refrigerant that FCA InternationalOperations has not approved.But your warranties do not cover any part that FCAInternational Operations did not supply or is notcertified for use on your vehicle. Nor do they coverthe costs of any repairs or adjustments that mightbe caused or needed because of the installation10

WHAT’S NOT COVEREDB. Modifications That WILL Void Your WarrantiesThese actions will void your warranties: disconnecting, tampering with, or altering theodometer will void your warranties, unlessyour repairing technician follows the legal requirements for repairing or replacing vehicles’odometers; or attaching any device that disconnects the vehicle’s odometer will also void your warranties.3.2.Environmental Factors Not Covered11Your warranties do not cover conditions resulting fromanything impacting the vehicle. This includes cracksand chips in glass, scratches and chips in paintedsurfaces, or damage from collision.3.3.Maintenance Costs Not CoveredYour warranties do not cover the costs of repairingdamage caused by poor or improper maintenance.Nor do they cover damage caused by the use ofcontaminated fuels, or by the use of fuels, oils,lubricants, cleaners or fluids other than thoserecommended in your Owner’s Manual.Your warranties do not cover damage caused by environmental factors such as airborne fallout, bird droppings, insect damage, chemicals, tree sap, salt, oceanspray, acid rain, and road hazards. Nor do your warranties cover damage caused by hailstorms,The warranties do not cover the costs of your vehicle’snormal or scheduled maintenance — the parts andservices that all vehicles routinely need.windstorms, tornadoes, sandstorms, lightning, floods,and earthquakes. lubrication; engine tune-ups;Some of these parts and services, which yourwarranties do not cover, include:

WHAT’S NOT COVERED replacing filters, coolant, spark plugs, bulbs, orfuses (unless those costs result from a coveredrepair); cleaning and polishing; and replacing worn wiper blades, worn brake padsand linings, or clutch linings beyond the BasicLimited Warranty as defined in section 2.1.E.3.4.Racing Not CoveredYour warranties do not cover the costs of repairingdamage or conditions caused by racing, nor do theycover the repair of any defects that are found as theresult of participating in a racing event.3.5.Certain Kinds of Corrosion NotCoveredYour warranties do not cover the following: corrosion caused by accident, damage, abuse, orvehicle alteration; surface corrosion caused by such things asindustrial fallout, sand, salt, hail, and stones; corrosion caused by the extensive or abnormaltransport of caustic materials like chemicals,acids, and fertilizers; and corrosion of special bodies, body conversions, orequipment that was not made or supplied by FCAInternational Operations.3.6.Other ExclusionsYour warranties do not cover the costs of repairingdamage or conditions caused by any of the following: fire or accident; abuse or negligence; misuse — for example, driving over curbs oroverloading; tampering with the emission systems, or with apart that could affect the emission systems; use of used parts, even if they were originallysupplied by FCA International Operations(however, authorized FCA International Operationsor MOPAR remanufactured parts are covered);12

WHAT’S NOT COVERED windshield or rear window damage from externalobjects; any changes made to your vehicle that do notcomply with FCA International Operations; or Using any fluid that doesn’t meet the minimumrecommendations in your Owner’s Manual.3.7.Total Loss, Salvage, Junk, or ScrapVehicles Not CoveredA vehicle has no warranty coverage of any kind if: the vehicle is declared to be a total loss by aninsurance company; the vehicle is rebuilt after being declared to be atotal loss by an insurance company; or the vehicle is issued a certificate of title indicatingthat it is designated as “salvage,” “junk,” “rebuilt,”“scrap”.FCA International Operations will deny warrantycoverage without notice if it learns that a vehicle isineligible for coverage for any of these reasons.133.8.Restricted WarrantyYour warranties can also be restricted by FCAInternational Operations. FCA International Operationmay restrict the warranty on your vehicle if the vehicleis not properly maintained, or if the vehicle is abusedor neglected, and the abuse or neglect interferes withthe proper functioning of the vehicle. If the warrantyis restricted, coverage may be denied or subject toapproval by FCA International Operations beforecovered repairs are performed.

OTHER TERMS OF YOUR WARRANTIES4. Other Terms of Your Warranties4.1.Exchanged Parts May Be Used inWarranty RepairsIn the interest of customer satisfaction, FCAInternational Operations may offer exchange service onsome vehicle parts. This service is intended to reducethe amount of time your vehicle is not available foryour use because of repairs. Parts used in exchangeservice may be new, remanufactured, reconditioned, orrepaired, depending on the part involved.All exchange parts that might be used meet FCAInternational Operations standards, and have the samewarranties as new parts.Examples of the kinds of parts that might be serviced inthis way are: engine assemblies; transmission assemblies; instrument cluster assemblies; radios, tape, CD and DVD players; speedometers; and powertrain control modules.To help control suspected ozone-depleting agents,applicable law requires the capture, purification, andreuse of automotive air-conditioning refrigerant gases.As a result, a repair to the sealed portion of your airconditioning system may involve the installation ofpurified reclaimed refrigerant.4.2.Pre-Delivery ServiceA defect in or damage to the mechanical, electrical,sheet-metal, paint, trim, and other components of yourvehicle may have occurred at the factory or while it wasbeing shipped to the dealer.Such a defect or damage is usually detected andcorrected at the factory. In addition, dealers mustinspect each vehicle before delivery. They repair anydefects or damage detected before the vehicle isdelivered to you.14

HOW TO GET WARRANTY SERVICE4.3.Production ChangesFCA International Operations and its dealers reserve theright to make changes in vehicles built or sold by themat any time without incurring any obligation to make thesame or similar changes on vehicles previously built orsold.4.4.Governing Law and Other TermsAll of the warranties are made under Michigan, U.S.A.law, and Michigan law will be used to interpret them.Punitive, exemplary or multiple damages may notbe recovered unless applicable law prohibits theirdisclaimer. No person, including FCA InternationalOperations employees or Authorized Repairers, maymodify or waive any part of these warranties.155. How to Get Warranty Service5.1.Where to Take Your VehicleA. In Your Country:Warranty service must be done by an AuthorizedRepairer. We strongly recommend that you take yourvehicle to your selling dealer. He/she knows you andyour vehicle best, and is most concerned that youget prompt and high quality service.B. In a Foreign Country:If you are traveling temporarily outside your countryand your vehicle remains registered in your country: You should take your vehicle to an AuthorizedRepairer. They should give you the samewarranty service you receive in your country. If the Authorized Repairer charges you forrepairs which you feel should be coveredunder your warranty, please get a detailedreceipt for the work done. Make sure that thisreceipt lists all warranty repairs and parts that

HOW TO GET WARRANTY SERVICEwere involved. (This receipt will be similar tothe one used by the repairer who normallyservices your vehicle.) When your vehicle returns to your countryfor reimbursement consideration, you willnormally need to provide a copy of the receipt,your vehicle registration and any other relevantdocuments. Reimbursement will not be considered ifthe vehicle does not return to the country ofregistration.Operations in order to register your vehicle in yournew country.5.2.Emergency Warranty RepairsIf you have an emergency and have to get a warrantyrepair made by someone other than an AuthorizedRepairer, follow the reimbursement procedure in section6.2.C. If You Move:If you move to another country, be sure to contactthe Chrysler Group Customer Relations and thecustoms department of the destination countrybefore you move. Vehicle importation rules varyconsiderably from country to country. You may berequired to present documentation of your move toFCA International Operations in order to continueyour warranty coverage. You may also be requiredto obtain documentation from FCA International16

HOW TO DEAL WITH PROBLEMS6. How to Deal with ProblemsOur goal is your complete satisfaction if the level of ourservice did not meet your expectations, then please contactthe dealership customer care representative to resolve anyissue.Furthermore you may submit your concerns to FiatChrysler Automobiles Egypt via any of the followingsteps:6.1.Customer Care Centerelectronic portal log on to www.fcaegyptcare.com6.2.Helpful telephone numberCall center Tel: 16243 from 10:00 am till 6:00 pm exceptFriday and Saturday.17

OPTIONAL SERVICE CONTRACT7. Optional Service ContractFCA International Operations offers valuable protectionagainst repair costs when these warranties do not apply.They complement but do not replace the warranty coveragesoutlined in this booklet. Several plans are available, coveringvarious time-and-odometer periods and various sets ofcomponents. Ask your dealer for details.18

MAINTENANCE8. Maintenance8.1.General InformationIt is your responsibility to properly maintain and operateyour new vehicle. Follow the instructions containedin the General and Scheduled Maintenance Serviceguidelines in your Warranty booklet. Regular, scheduledmaintenance is essential to trouble-free operation.If there is a dispute between you and your dealerconcerning your maintenance of your vehicle, FCAInternational Operations will require you to provideproof that your vehicle was properly maintained.For your convenience, FCA International Operationshas prepared a Maintenance Log which is includedin your Owner’s Literature Package. You should usethis Maintenance Logbook to keep track of scheduledmaintenance, either by routinely having the repairsentered in your Maintenance Logbook, or by keepingreceipts or other documentation of work you have haddone on your vehicle in your Maintenance Logbook.198.2.Where To Go Fr MaintenanceFCA International Operations recommends that youreturn to the dealer from whom you bought your vehiclefor all maintenance service both during and after thewarranty periods. Although you can get warrantyservice from any dealer who sells your particular make,returning to your selling dealer will help ensure that allyour service needs are met and that you’re completelysatisfied. Authorized Repairer’s technicians arespecifically trained to proficiently perform maintenanceand repair procedures on your FCA InternationalOperations vehicle.Authorized Repairers will help ensure that all yourservice needs are met and that you are completelysatisfied. FCA International Operations stronglyrecommends you use genuine FCA InternationalOperations / MOPAR parts to maintain your vehicle.
