Welcome to FloridaWelcome to Florida! We are thrilled you are here and we hope youhave a great “live and in-person” AM/PIC in West Palm Beach. Thearea has a beau ful array of things to do inside and outdoors asidefrom the goings-on at AM/PIC.Our agents, sponsors, donors, and volunteers have spent enormousme and resources to make sure you have a wonderful me andthat our AM/PIC is produc ve. If there is anything that you needduring the conference please let one of our team members knowso we can assist you. So welcome to Florida - we are glad that youare here. We will definitely go beyond the beaches next year as wewish Iowa’s team good luck and pass them the baton.Beyond The Beaches was chosen as our theme for this year’smee ng. We know that Florida is widely known for our beau fulbeaches but going beyond the beaches, our agricultural heritage isolder than our na on and we hope you will experience some of thatduring your stay.We will meet and register at the Palm Beach Conven on Center andour first meal on Sunday night will be a hearty, home-cooked mealto ease you into your new surroundings. But the pace quickly turnswith our opening kick-off, a new take on the flag ceremony, andthe sounds of La n crossover beats that mirror the mul culturalhistorical aspect of Florida’s founding and way of life.Monday’s ac vi es will include all the regular AM/PIC agendaitems that you are familiar with over the years, however, we willbe changing things up a bit. We are going to the beach to unwinda er a day of professional improvement, networking, and mee ngs(all the good stuff) and have a li le relaxing fun with a thousand ofyour friends at Carlin Park. This is a different take on the usual 4-Hnight. Our agents have worked very hard on this dinner/event andwe hope you will enjoy it. We know it’s hot, but you should be ableto find things that will distract you from talking about the weather. On Tuesday if you are not already registered for the fun ac vi esthat we have planned for son and daughters, spouses, guests, andlife members, downtown around the conven on center you willfind plenty of sightseeing, shopping, as well as excellent eateriesfor your enjoyment and Tuesday night’s States Night Out. Pleasecheck out our website h p:// ny.cc/ampic2022 and Visit the PalmBeaches if you need helpful sugges ons on things to do. I wouldalso like to thank Ashley Medieros with Visit the Palm Beaches forall her me helping to promote our event. On Wednesday, check out the excellent lineup of seminars and if youdon’t have a cket, hang out near the door to see if a space opens. Many mes you can crowd in the back and get the informa on.Especially check out our sponsor Microso and their technologyseminar. A er we have our usual daily ac vi es we will honorour Dis nguished Service and Achievement Award recipients, andchange our leadership at the banquet where we will be serving adelicious meal for you.On Thursday we will be beyond the beaches and showcase thediversity of agriculture and natural resources in our state. Wehave plenty to see and do on the tours. If you are not going onthe tours you might check out the beach. We will all meet at theSouth Florida Fairgrounds where the Hendry County Ca lemen’sAssocia on will generously be cooking a steak dinner for everyone. While you wait or a er your meal, you can tour the very uniquecultural heritage history of Yesteryear Village.
