In accordance with SACSCOC Comprehensive Standard3.7.1, the individual institution retains the final responsibility to justify and document thequalifications of the faculty.Comprehensive Standard 3.7.1 of the Principles of Accreditation reads as follows: Theinstitution employs competent faculty members qualified to accomplish the mission andgoals of the institution. When determining acceptable qualifications of its faculty, aninstitution gives primary consideration to the highest earned degree in the discipline.
