49 South Van ness avenue, suite 1400SAN FRANCISCO, CA 94103www.sfplanning.orgFEE SCHEDULEEFFECTIVE AUGUST 30, 2021UPDATED JULY 1, 2022The Planning Department charges fees to compensate for the cost of processing applications.Payments may be made by cash, check (payable to “San Francisco Planning Department”),credit card or wire transfer.Fee IncreasesEvery year, application fees are adjusted by the two-year average consumerprice index (CPI) change for the San Francisco/San Jose Primary MetropolitanStatistical Area. An updated fee schedule showing these adjusted rates and anyother fee changes is published in August or early September each year.Time and Materials ChargesEnforcement and monitoring fees, and all applications, except those for theShort-Term Rental Registry and Discretionary Reviews, are subject to billing forstaff time and materials if the cost of reviewing the application exceeds the initialfee charged. Applications for entitlements that are administratively reviewed andapproved without a public hearing (e.g. Administrative Minor Permit to Alter;Administrative Certificate of Appropriateness) will be subject only to time andmaterials billing and will not be charged an up-front application fee.Fee CalculatorsThis year's fee calculators are incorporated in the worksheets below. In addition to application fees, the City imposes impact fees on developmentprojects in order to mitigate the impacts caused by new development on publicservices, infrastructure and facilities. Development impact fees are collectedby the Department of Building Inspection; they are adjusted annually in Januarybased on Annual Infrastructure Construction Cost Inflation Estimates. Moreinformation about impact fees is available at sfplanning.org.RefundsAny application withdrawn prior to a public hearing or canceled by the PlanningDepartment is eligible for a refund of the initial application fee less the cost oftime and materials expended. Refund requests must be submitted within sixmonths of the project closure date.Relevant Code Citations2.2131.23.18.28Planning f )(3)(x)PAGE 1 SCHEDULE OF APPLICATION 611For additional information, please visitsfplanning.org or contact the PlanningInformation Center at 628.652.7300or pic@sfgov.org.For wiring instructions, pleaseemail cpc.wiretransfer@sfgov.org中文詢問請電 Para información enEspañol llamar al Para sa impormasyonsa Tagalog tumawag sa 682.652.7550NOTEDevelopment Impact FeesAdministrative CodeContact Information303.2Where an applicant requests two or moreapprovals involving a Conditional Use,Planned Unit Development, Variance,Downtown Large Project Authorization,District Section 309 review, Large ProjectAuthorization in the Eastern Neighborhoods,Large Project Authorization (Section 329),Certificate of Appropriateness, Permit toAlter a Significant or Contributory buildingboth within and outside of ConservationDistricts, or a Coastal Zone Permit review, the amount of the second and eachsubsequent initial fees of lesser value shallbe reduced to 50% plus time and materialsas set forth in Planning Code Section 350.* BOARD OF SUPERVISORSAPPEALS SURCHARGE INCLUDED** BOARD OF APPEALSSURCHARGE INCLUDED 120 37.00EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2022Updated July 1, 2022
