Both the SCand the SCX implant, along with the S implants, will be preparedwith the existing BEGO Semados S-Line Tray .The new systems have an indentation on the implant shoulder(the Platform Switch) which means that S-Line customers canbenefit from Platform Switch prosthetics (PS-Line) using thenew implants. Individual restorations made from a wide varietyof materials can be fabricated as usual using the CAD / CAMsystem from BEGO Medical GmbH. The tried and true conicalinner connection with a mean conical angle of 45 and theinternal hex that acts as an anti-rotation mechanism mean thatthe new SC and SCX implants are compatible with existingprostheses in the RS / RSX-Line. Users can still access all theusual Platform Switch prosthetic components.12The new implants are available in the familiar diameters andlengths of the S-Line and are suitable for almost every indicationin implant dentistry. An implant with a diameter of 5.5 and alength of 7 mm has been added to the range to satisfy customerrequests for short and large-diameter implants.

SURGERY · MINI IMPLANTS / HEALING POSTSSURGERY · MINI IMPLANTS / HEALING POSTSDESCRIPTIONThe BEGO Semados Mini implant is a bone-condensing,non-self-tapping implant made of pure titanium (grade 4).BEGO Semados Mini implants 2.7–3.1 can be used togetherwith a bar joint restoration. At least 4 implants should be placedin the edentulous mandible and between 4 and 6 in the maxilla.For bar restorations, it is recommended to use a diameter of 3.1for the terminal implants.BEGO Semados Mini implants 2.7 and 3.1 can be usedtogether with a ball attachment restoration. Two implants shouldbe placed in each jaw.Only BEGO Semados Mini implants 3.1 are approved forrestorations with Easy-Con Mini abutments. Use 2–4 implants inthis case.For restoring narrow gaps in the anterior teeth following the lossof teeth 12, 22, 32, 31, 41 and 42, the BEGO Semados Mini2.9 and 3.1 can be used.Regardless of the apical diameter, every BEGO Semados Miniimplant has a platform diameter of 3.5 mm.Consult instructions for use31
