Art. 1 - Description of the Politecnico di Milano Platinum and Gold scholarships- Milano CampusesThe scholarships are addressed to international students who have been admittedto one of the Laurea Magistrale courses (second level title, corresponding to aMaster of Science) on the Milano Campuses. The scholarships will be divided asfollows:- A maximum of 8 Platinum Scholarships of the amount of 10.000 gross peryear given to the first students in the rankings- A maximum of 40 Gold Scholarships of the amount of 5.000 gross per yearOn top of that, scholarships recipients will receive a total fee waiver.The amount of each scholarship (after taxation) will be transferred to thebeneficiary’s bank account in two or three instalments per year.Art. 1.1 - Description of the Polo di Cremona Gold scholarshipThe scholarship is addressed to international students who have been admitted tothe first semester of the academic year 2021/22 to the Laurea Magistrale coursein Music and Acoustics Engineering offered at the Cremona Campus.The amount of the scholarship will be of 5.000 gross per year.The amount (after taxation) will be transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bankaccount in two instalments.On top of that, the scholarship recipient will receive a total fee waiverArt. 1.2 - Description of the Polo di Piacenza Gold scholarshipsThe scholarships are addressed to international students who have been admittedto the Laurea Magistrale courses in Sustainable Architecture and LandscapeDesign and in Energy Engineering (track in Renewables and EnvironmentalSustainability) offered in English on the Piacenza Campus. The scholarships will bedivided as follows: 8 scholarships for the Laurea Magistrale course in Sustainable Architectureand Landscape Design 8 scholarships for the Laurea Magistrale course in Energy Engineering(track in Renewables and Environmental Sustainability)The scholarships will cover accommodation costs at the “Morigi” Residence in adouble room,
-from 13 September 2021, to 31 July 2022, for students who have beenadmitted to the 1st semester;starting from the end of February 2022, for students who have beenadmitted to the 2nd semester.The scholarships also include breakfast and one meal per day, from Monday toFriday. In the month of August, only the accommodation costs will be covered andno meal will be included, as well as on national holidays and the full Christmas andEaster periods.It is possible to change the distribution of the scholarships between the twoLaurea Magistrale courses, according to the number of admitted candidates toeach course.On top of that, scholarships recipients will receive a total fee waiver.Art. 1.3- Description of the Silver scholarships- all CampusesThe Politecnico di Milano Silver scholarships are addressed to internationalstudents who have been admitted for the academic year 2021/2022 to one of theLaurea Magistrale courses offered on all the Campuses of the Politecnico diMilano.Each scholarship will cover the total amount of enrolment fees to becorresponded, except for the administrative fee of around 200 , that will have tobe paid in advance.Art. 2 - Beneficiary SelectionThe beneficiaries will be selected among those who applied online:- before 27th May 2021 for the first semester,- before 20th July 2021 for the second semesterand have been admitted to one of the Laurea Magistrale courses offered at thePolitecnico di Milano, as described in the application process published in the“Application procedures” section of the English version of the Politecnico prospective-students/,provided that the candidate has accepted the admission, and has completedhis/her dossier with all the required documents.
Art. 3 - Outcome of the Selection – FIRST SEMESTERThe outcome of the selection concerning the first semester will be communicatedonly to the applicants who have been granted a scholarship- by the end of March 2021 for those who have applied by November 19th 2020,- by mid May 2021 for those who have applied by March 9th 2021,- by mid July 2021 for those who have applied by May 27th 2021.In order to confirm their acceptance, scholarships recipients will have to pay anadministrative fee of around 200 , following the instructions given through themessage system of their Politecnico di Milano account (online services).Scholarships recipients will not be asked to pay any other tuition fees forregistering at the Politecnico di Milano.In case a scholarship recipient does not comply with the terms of paymentdescribed in the online services account, the scholarship will be revoked.The scholarship is valid only for enrolment in the 1st semester of the academicyear 2021/22. If the student, for any reason, does not provide all the documentsrequired and does not complete all the enrolment procedures, he/she will lose theright to the scholarship.Scholarships not assigned for the first semester will be reallocated for the secondsemester.Art. 4 - Outcome of the Selection – SECOND SEMESTERThe outcome of the selection concerning the second semester will becommunicated only to the applicants who have been granted a scholarship bymid-December 2021, for those who have applied by 20th July 2021.In order to confirm their acceptance, scholarships recipients will have to pay anadministrative fee of around 200 , following the instructions given through themessage system of their Politecnico di Milano account (online services).Scholarships recipients will not be asked to pay any other tuition fees forregistering at the Politecnico di Milano.In case a scholarship recipient does not comply with the terms of paymentdescribed in the online services account, the scholarship will be revoked.

If the student, for any reason, does not provide all the documentsrequired and does not complete all the enrolment procedures, he/she will lose theright to the scholarship.Art. 5 - Evaluation ProcessIn order to assign the scholarships, the Evaluation Committee will take intoconsideration the evaluation made by the professors in charge of the degreeprogramme to which the candidate has been admitted, on the basis of thedocumentation provided by the candidate.Moreover, the Evaluation Committee will also take into consideration thecomposition of the class in terms of age, by giving preference to the youngestcandidate in case of candidates in close positions, gender balance and country oforigin.The Evaluation Committee will be composed by the Delegate for InternationalAffairs and the Deans of the Politecnico di Milano or their delegates, andappointed by the Director of the Campus Life Division.Art. 6– Scholarship CompatibilityThe scholarship cannot be combined with any other financial aid provided byPolitecnico di Milano or by any other public Italian Institution. In case a beneficiaryhas been awarded with more than one scholarship, he/she must choose which onehe/she will keep or reject.Art. 7- Scholarship Confirmation, Revocation and SuspensionThe scholarship – Platinum, Gold or Silver - is meant to cover the two years of theLaurea Magistrale course.The student will be assigned the scholarship for his/her second year of the LaureaMagistrale course provided that he/she will maintain the requirements that willbe communicated to him/her at the beginning of the semester of her/himenrolment of the a.y. 2021/22.Scholarships have a minimum duration of one (1) Academic Year. In case thebeneficiary decides to abandon his/her studies before the Academic Year is over,he/she will have to give back the entire amount of the scholarship he/she hasbenefited from.
The beneficiary will be allowed to suspend his/her studies and to maintain thebenefits of the scholarship until his/her return only in extenuating circumstances,and in any case with the previous approval of the Politecnico di Milano.Scholarships have a maximum duration of two (2) continuous years, after whichthe student will be responsible for his/her expenses until graduation, as well astuition and any other fees which were covered by Politecnico di Milano during thescholarship period.Art. 8 - Head of the selection processIn accordance with the Law of 7 August 1990, no. 241 and subsequentmodifications, the Person Responsible for the Administrative Procedure is Dr.Gabriella Rega.Art.9- Personal Data ProcessingPursuant to EU Regulation no. 679/2016, the candidates are informed that theprocessing of personal data they have supplied to the Politecnico di Milano isaimed solely at the completion of the selection and assignment of the scholarshipof study indicated by this Call. The processing of data, for the recipient only will befinalized also to the granting of the scholarship itself and for the purposes relatedto its management.The treatment will be carried out by the persons in charge of the procedure,including the Politecnico di Milano Awarding Committee, with the use ofcomputerized procedures, in the ways and within the limits necessary to pursuethe aforementioned purposes, even in the event of any communication to thirdparties.The provision of such data is necessary to verify the requirements for participationand the possession of securities and their failure to indicate may preclude suchverification. Further data may be requested for the sole purpose of granting thegrant.The data will be stored, in accordance with the provisions of current legislation,for a period not exceeding the necessary time to achieve the purposes for whichthey are processed.The candidates have all the rights as referred on the third chapter of EU Regulationno. 679/2016, in particular, the right to access their personal data, to requestcorrection, updating and cancellation, if incomplete, mistaken or collected inviolation of the law, and to oppose to their processing for legitimate reasons.
