INTRODUCTIONCCM’s Municipal Salary Survey 2015-2016 Edition contains salary information for 48 localgovernment positions. CCM distributed survey questionnaires to each of the 169 cities &towns in Connecticut from July through December of 2015. This year, 150 cities and towns(88.75% of municipalities) responded. To the best of CCM’s knowledge, all information contained in this edition of the salary survey is accurate for salaries for FY 15-16.The results are reported alphabetically by municipality within six population groups (basedon the results of the Connecticut Department of Public Health population estimates). In addition to requesting salary information, CCM asked each responding municipality to answera number of questions about the retirement plan afforded to non-union employees in themunicipality. That information is reported at the end of each population group section.CCM made every effort to report consistent and comparable data and used the followingguidelines: Reported salaries are actual Fiscal Year 2015-2016 salaries. Where FY15-16 salarieswere not available or where there was no wage increase awarded, this is indicated by anote in the survey. Position categories are general (see page II for Position Title Descriptions). Actual jobtitles and responsibilities differ from municipality to municipality. For copies of job descriptions, CCM members may contact Kennedy Munro, Research Analyst, in CCM’s Government Relations & Research Department at 203-498-3000 or by email at kmunro@ccm-ct.org. Where appropriate, information on other salary considerations (e.g. fees and retainers) isincluded in the report. Please see the User Guide to the salary survey (page ii) for details. When reported to CCM, additional duties performed by each incumbent are indicated bya note in the survey. Please note: CCM members may contact the CCM Government Relations & Research Department to obtain complete information regarding the length of employment of job incumbents, educational background, fringe benefits, responsibilities or each position, andjob descriptions. If you have any additional questions regarding this report, please contact Kennedy Munro,Research Analyst, at 203-498-3000 or by email at kmunro@ccm-ct.org.2016 CCM MUNICIPAL SALARY SURVEY i
